In America though Ron Paul has made very critical statements about gay people and minorities in the past. Also the majority of the libertarian support base comes from the part of the country that opposes gay rights and tends to believe in questionable racial policies

I don´t care if he did or not ( but it was already prooved that the racist article that people say he wrote was actually not him). Ron Paul is not even a complete libertarian. He has a mixture of conservative and libertarian values. And now that he is not going to win the primaries and won´t run as independent, I would be in favor of the candidate of the Libertarian Party.

As I said before, libertarianism defends individual liberties and are against restrictions on immigration (this are also ideals of the Libertarian Party). Just because (according to you), those who vote libertarian are from parts of the country which oppose gay rights and have questionable racial policies does not proove nothing. Actually, it could be that those who vote on libertarian in those parts of the country, are voting libertarian to change against that. Why didn´t you thougth about that, instead of trying to "proove" that we are what Van jones says?

All the Ron Paul supporters I know are conspiracy theorists who think the government is run by evil commies who control every aspect of our lives.

I'm not really trying to "prove" anything. The fact of the matter is many of the people who call themselves libertarian or identify with libertarianism in the US are pretty racist / homophobic. That doesn't mean the ideology is these things, but I've been to Libertarian rallies in my state where they've cheered speakers saying "the root of of economical problems are the Jews and their backward economic policies" and witnessed my state under the guise of libertarianism pass racist law after racist law. More often then note, when you're talking about anti-immigration legislation, you're talking about people who believe in racial profiling, who believe that people of Mexican origin should have less rights and be treated as second hand citizens.

Again though, is this really the point of libertarianism? No, but it's what it's become in the US

I am fine with the Libertarians, however the only prominent one I know is Ron Paul and I am very against his ideas. I would say worse, but he is a veteran and I got to give him respect. That is a drag at times.

Well he's right you know. It is common knowledge that libertarian ideas are inherently racist.

So I believe the government is run by an evil communist? I am a conspiracy theorist?

I wouldn't say inherently racist, but defiantly inherently domestic, which then takes a small step to get to racism.

Where does it says that the libertarian ideology is inheretly racist? You people speak of libertarianism like the youtube video of the guy who said that Hitler was an anarcho-capitalist.

It is incompatible for those who defend liberty and individual rights being racist (since liberty and individual rights, according to the libertarian ideology, are applicated for all indviduals, withouth distinction).

That still does not proove nothing. Probably they were just crazy anti-israel Alex Jones supporters. A group of people in a rallie does not represent the entire ideology or the party.

What is your state and what laws are this? And why you consider them libertarian?

I'm sure he doesn't, considering he said:

    Edit:
I'd also comment on the nuances if American political culture that would shape the ideals of libertarianism into an inherently domestic (and the next step is racist), but I really don't feel like writing tonight.

That would be what we call "constitutionalism" here in the states.

I don't buy that. Maybe all of the Tea Party wackos, but I've not seen any racism among RP supporters or Libertarian Party members.
I'll assume you mean Arizona, and not Pennsylvania.
I went to the Ron Paul rally on campus about a month ago and I didn't see even a trace of that crowd. Most people there were either young college kids or dedicated Ron Paul supporters/libertarians.
