So I've recently been posting some versus matches and have alot of ideas, but I want to hear some from the rest of you.
Dogs vs cats. Serious, not trolling. I dunno. Mass Effect vs Galactic Empire from Star Wars? Master Chief vs Yoda?
I'm trying to find things that are somewhat popular so that we can have some large debates. And things that are not obvious curbstomps. Inevitably, if we post that one, there will be steryotypes and racist comments. Don't know the former. Like I said, I'm looking for some familiar ones so that alot of people can participate.
Napoleon vs Clausewitz: This would be a dream match. A master general against the person who studies his every move. My Little Ponies vs Angry Birds: I don't think I need to explain that, just a battle of fads. Rick Perry vs Barrack Obama: Spoiler=Perry Wins That's it for now.
I guess you can go for that... just don't expect me to comment. I was thinking fictional matches more than real ones. And I think the last one is a foregone conclusion.
Find a suitable second universe and it may work. Mayhap Warhammer or WoW. I've seen such matches before.
I think Warhammer would be a good match, although would it be particular factions or the universes as a whole?
You'll run into the same problems as with the SW vs WH40K arguments; the Warhammer universes are meant to be as flashy, heroic and overkill as possible (seriously, those High Elf helmets look fucking ridiculous), whereas both SW and LotR still seem to have some sort of sense of realism to them (at least to me; yes, I know, they're sci-fi and fantasy, but I hope I explained myself well enough), with some general exceptions (Death Star, Sauron etc.). Warhammer vs Warcraft seems kind of redundant, as the universes are quite similar (Weren't SC and Warcraft supposed to be GW games anyway? I think I read that somewhere).
Either. True. Well, I'll just post my ideas, but I wanted to have an area for preliminaries so that we don't end up with a ton of unused threads. Sounds good. I have seen this match before, but didn't look into the particulars. We just need a someone with a lot of knowledge on SW. I know some, but I also know that there is alot of canon that I don't know.
