Its never the answer, unless the question is what "What is never the answer?", in which case you'd be wrong.
lets say you and your friends are argueing where to go for dinner, things go alot easier if you had a gun. Just shoot one of them in the leg (or in the air i dont really are which) and then tell them that your getting takout from Hooters.
What about a riot started by teens outside somewhere such as a mall. It's similar to martial law... Usually never the answer but in desprate measures can be.
Let the teens destroy the mall. Its not like anyone will miss it. Besides, its better that its property that their destroying and not people. Property doesn't feel pain.
An insane person has a bomb and he's holding a school hostage, threatening to blow himself and others up. He's standing in front of a window. A sniper has a clear shot to take out the guy before he can blow up himself and the kids. Do you try to talk him down or is violence the answer? Do you shoot this man?
Tell him that if he doesn't come down, you'll detonate your own bomb, blowing up a hospital full of orphans.
Here's one for ya' All peace leads to war, and all war leads to peace - the violence never stops. Edit: Violence is the answer to certain questions.
Ok then, pacifist, say someone is being a dick towards you, or... no better, say someone is going to mug you, and you have a weapon - what are you going to do which doesn't involve violence, reason with him/her?.. No! you are going to protect yourself.
I didn't say it wasn't an answer, I said it was a retarded answer. Violence is the lowest form of human interaction and should only be used when no other alternative can be found, and it should NEVER be used to settle petty disagreements.
No it isn't but I neither gave the notion that is was... I merely explained my opinion that in some aspects of life, you don't really have a choice & violence is enforced.
