They wouldn't. Saudi Arabia is just as valuable to America as Israel. It helps them maintain their sphere of influence in the Middle East.

it seems you have no idea how oil is sold

we won't get anything, the companies will.

The oil will not be United States property (you aren't suggesting we nationalize the oil companies, are you?). It will be the property of whichever oil company got the rights to that contract. They can then sell it to whoever they like -- and they will. They will sell it on the world market, so the Chinese will have just as much access to the oil that comes out of Saudi Arabia as we will.

The first sign someone knows nothing about foreign policy or warfare. None of the wars in the Middle East have been motivated by oil. It's all about taking down hostile governments, maintaining international influence, and during the cold war, stopping communism.

For the record, we get most of our oil right here in North America.

Yeah... the U.S. kind of BUYS the stuff from them. Besides the economic aspect, there is also the political influence they get from doing it. Invading them would cause them to destroy the oil to punish the U.S., besides obviously not selling it to the U.S. or their allies while the war is going on. The world economy would take a major hit and so would the U.S. on the international stage, especially since the war was unprovoked.

We would never, ever declare war on the House of Saud. They're good doggies, and give us what we want and we give them what they want. The only way we ever would would be if Saudi Arabia had a revolution and a hostile dictatorship took power. Then if we did we'd wipe them off the map in about two days maximum.

Then it's Iraq War #2 and depending on how things go we may or may not succed.

It is my belief that America should condemn (not necessarily declare war on) Saudi Arabia. Being allies with a theocratic dictatorship is not only despicable, but hypocritical.

'theocratic dictatorship' That reminds me, wasn't it the Saudi royalty that bought the left shoe of that awesome reporter who threw his shoes at Bush?

    *Sighs* very well then

I'm well aware we already get oil from Saudi Arabia however what if one day the Americans just decide fuck it we shouldn't have to pay for oil and declare war on Saudi Arabia? If you think this isn't probable then you're blind and if you think Oil had absolutely nothing to do with all our wars in the Middle East not only are you blind but you are also a moron.

Like Tito said I also find it hypocritical that the Us preaches about freedom and Democracy, and how they oppose Dictators and are anti-Communist, when they are alligned with nations that have Dictatorships as Governments(like Saudi Arabia) and import most of our shit from an Communist nation(China)
