Obviously this would require for the Ottomans not to involve themselves in World War One, I personally think the Middle East would not be such a mess and there would be less poverty and overall less suffering in the middle east, ashame in real life it had to disband.

If they had not become involved in WWI, then the monarchy could not have been overthrown, and Ataturk could not have reformed them. They would have devolved into a backward, oppressive, illiterate hellhole like Iraq.

The Ottoman Empire dissolving was the best thing that ever happened to it.

Why? I personally think if the Ottoman Empire was not forced to disband then, they would have eventually been completely destroyed and the country of Turkey would not even exist.

Like the Austrian empire the Ottomans need some war to unify the population. It was already sliding into a revolution, the split was historically inevitable I could be delayed but not stopped.

The only way for the Ottoman empire to survive world war 1 is if they were a superpower.

They wouldn't completely fall, but probably have a revolution like you said which could have brought about a republic or limited constitution, none the less, they would still lose any outlying territory afterwards (Western Arabia?). But they wouldn't implode, in fact staying neutral might have had economic benefits just like for the US (depending on their agricultural output).

@UnholyKnight, They were technically a "super-power" (more rather a great power as the first "super-powers" didnt emerge untill post WW2 (USA and USSR). Also they had the armies and tech to hold out against a single, rival nation.

They were going to collapse either way, the Allied nations would've dismembered their empire anyway most likely.

It would have collapsed anyway, although the process would have been slower and painful. It was in decline since the French revolution, which inspired Greece to take up arms, leading to dissent amongst most of the empire's majorities. Even the Arabs had grown tired of living under the Islamic empire so many of them harp on about today.

Prior to the first world war, Italy had already set about dismantling the Ottomans, taking Libya, and the war itself simply accelerated the process of decay. The only real difference would have been that it might not be as prosperous as it is today, as there would have been no Ataturk to fight a revolutionary war.

The region would be a bit more stable as the ethnic boundries wouldn't be so mixed up. For instance, Kurdistan probably would be a country or at least only inside one nation rather than 3 (grant it, the Kurds in Persia probably would've still been under their rule).

Other than that, there would've been a violent war eventually that would topple the Empire. Turkey would exist a litltle more prosperous than it does now and maybe with a little smaller borders.

I'm pretty sure Osama Bin Laden was of the opinion the world would be a better place if the Ottoman Empire still existed, therefore it must be evil! There's also the fact they destroyed Byzantium, but I guess Venice and the Pope are to blame for that.
A strong Ottoman Empire could potentially have been a good bulwark against Islamic extremism, in my opinion. Ultimately, that (a strong Ottoman Empire) would have been difficult to maintain. Thus, A balance of power between Byzantium and the Ottomans would have been good, but i'm going a bit crazy now. :D

Dammit, why I didn't remember this, there would also be no place for the Jews, that means no Israel and Arab-Jewish related tensions, and seeing that the Ottoman Empire didn't really care about religion, the Jews could even live in there, although I don't know if they would be well accepted by the Muslims.

This is a problem for many nations in Europe. If they are to survive, they must be able to keep up with the technological advances.

It was a very theocratic society and nation. I don't know what you're talking about. They were, however, tolerant of other religions within their border, to an extent.

When it comes to religious tolerance, the Ottomans were pretty damn liberal compared to the rest of Europe.
