What is a "Disease"?

I've wondered this for a while now, and obviously i'm not talking about the Cough-cough kind of diseases, i'm talking about what... noun or verb you would call a disease, parasitical to the world. I've always said religion, ill never hate, dislike, not-care-for anybody who believes in god. my girlfriend goes to church and when I can, i go with her to make her happy.

but what I'm asking, if i hadn't already, si what you find to be a "disease".
