This thread is serious. I just got my psat scores from when I took it in October, kinda long, but whatevs. I got a 58 in critical reading(higher than 80% of all juniors) a 56 in Mathematics(higher than 72% of all juniors, juniors that took trigonometry, when I had only just started the class and didn't know fuck about it), and a 62 in Writing Skills(better than 91% of juniors). Which, according to my counselor, would be about an 1140 out of 1600 if it had been an actual SAT. Apparently thats pretty good. I just wanted to know how I stacked up next to you guys, because my counselor said I did pretty good, but I didn't really compare with anybody. So what did you guys get on your (P)SAT? Did i do good you think?
I don't remember my PSAT, but I got somewhere between 1350 and 1400 on my SAT. As for you I think you did pretty good.
You got a 1400 out of 1600? Or was it out of like 2000 or some shit, because I heard sometimes they do it like that.
II only come close to you in writing... Bah what a bunch of nerds... Nah jk. Did they used to do it out of 1600? Because my teacher did it out of 1600. But wait she was neglecting writing skills and focusing on reading and math. That makes my total 1760 out of 2400. Now I feel better about myself.
Yes, and taking that into account, I have a score of 1760, as opposed to my earlier estimate which neglected the writing skills category and was out of 1600.
Critical reading: 780 Mathematics: 460 Writing: 750 These were my SAT scores, I got into UCLA which i will be attending next Fall.
680/620 .... I took the first SAT that had the writing section and got an 800 on it but schools weren't even looking at that section yet, bastids....
What I do not really like about the essay portion is that they just want a standard essay. No creativity allowed. But if I were to give advice to those who are going to take the SAT I would say use historical references in the essay. The graders get a boner off it or something.
