Well I'd like to start off with saying that the plural of boss's (bosses?) confuses me. On topic though, this thread is YOU telling us your top five boss's ! Criteria being the most memorable or best done. Explanations are good just for conversations sake. Mine are : 5- Queen Gohma from Ocarina of Time. Now I know it's not that flashy of a boss fight or anything but it will always stand out in my mind as the most epic thing ever. It was like my first quest! When you're seven years old it was the perfect blend of horror difficulty and a feeling of epicness and accomplishment. When you're young and stupid it takes a while to get to the bottom of that tree . 4. Dagoth Ur from Morrowind. Again, it's not the flashiest thing in the world or the best stage but you've just spent the better part of the last 200 hours of game play imagining this ultimate nemesis on top of red mountain. You walk up a mountain through the ashstorms and ancient ruins filled with demons and grotesque manbeasts fighting his ash vampires all the way to get to him. Morrowind didn't take it easy on you and your character had worked hard to get to the level where he could do this, and finishing the vanilla game was an incredibly satisfying experience. The greatest adventure I've ever had. 3. Final Bowser fight from Super Mario 64! So this boss was reaaaaally quite easy but who cares? It is exactly what comes to mind when I think the words "boss fight". 2. The Elite Four from pokemon yellow (for me personally). When you were 6 year's old by GOLLY did this seem epic. From the start of the game you hear about it and you spend hours and hours and HOURS training your pokemon and beating the gyms. Picking out the best ones (level 98 nidoking, god among pokemon) and just generally learning about the world so you could become the champion before that git Gary. Screw that guy. 1. Malak from Knights of the old Republic. I gotta say when you kill this guy it feels like the end of the most epic saga ever conceived, which brings a tear to my eye. But it was still absolutely amazing. The entire battle on the star forge I feel can be included with Malak, it was just all awesome. That's off the top of my head. This is really rough by the way, I found it really hard to pick . The last bosses for Jade Empire and Bioshock would definitely be my 6 and 7, respectively. I'm sure final fantasy fanatics will be like OMG SEPHIROTH. So yeah your turn , forum.
Agreeing with Malak, he's awesome. Although I do prefer the Gold/Silver/Crystal Pokemon League, mainly because Lance's theme is one of the best songs created for the Pokemon games. That giant clown boss from Wario Land 3 was pretty awesome as well. And, well, that's about it, I don't really play that many games with bosses, so yeah.
Since nobodies into the whole making list thing maybe I'll take everyone's replies and make a voting list for Best boss fight evar
Damon Gant Manfred von Karma Marauder Shields The actual game itself is the greatest boss in all of videogaming AND...... KENJI MOTHAFUCKAS!!!
(order from least to greatest) 5. Reaper Larva from ME2 4. Caesar from F:NV (I just did this because I was bored, and my character was so high levelled no one was a match so I wanted a challenge and boy did Caesar give me one.) 3. Corrupted Saren(a.k.a. Sovereign), boy was he a pain in the ass to kill, it got really annoying after awhile, however no matter how annoying the boss fight was, the battle was still epic and I can't deny that. 2. Darth Traya(Kreia) from KOTOR 2 one of the most complex and mysterious characters in gaming history, plus she went out like a boss which should be expected considering she was the final boss fight . 1. Darth Malak, though Malak to me was just your everyday Sith, my fight against him was epic, especially when you follow the dark path and get Revans robes, ah the nostalgia.
Darth Traya YESSS. Idk I just chose to leave her out because idk man IDK!!! While I loved kotor 2 to death I didn't choose any Darth Traya or Sion or Nihilus because that game had me so immersed in the story that I kind of all see them as part of one big adventure. Like I guess I didn't put her here because she wasn't most memorable to be about that game, but that game as a whole . The story is beautiful and has SO much variability! So many things can change I still haven't gotten all the dialogue options unlocked after all these playthroughs. So when I look back on kotor 2 I don't see boss fights, but I instantly remember all the relationships with the characters and questing on Dxun with the mandalorians. (Invading Onderon was the most epic thing ever)
5. Colonel Radec, from Killzone 2, loved the fight on hardest difficulty, teleports everywhere and lays down fire on you from anywhere in that Helghast building. 4. Kerrigan from Starcraft 2, hoardes of the zerg charging at you and then Kerrigan is just OP towards most of your units, instantly bashing and ruining your best defensive perimeter. 3. The End, lol its funny how I beat this guy in MGS3, I just fastforwarded my time on my PS3 and then he dies of old age. 2. The Boss from MGS3, the epic fight between Naked Snake and the Boss, fighting in that field of flowers, a timed fight in which you have to kill her fast otherwise MIGs will bomb the area. 1. Finally Liquid Ocelot from MGS4, the brawl on top of the ship, a brotherly clash of fists, that and Liquid changing from Ocelot to Liquid fighting stance.
5. Hydra. God Of War, when I first played god of war on my ps2 my mind was blown. I loved greek mythology at the time, and well fighting a giant hydra made me feel badass. 4. Akuma from street fighter 2, First time I fought this guy when I was 4 I cried he was so hard lol. 3. Tiny tiger, Oh the fucking nostalgia I get from this game. I used to play it with my mom all the time lol. 2. Grunty from banjo kazooie, NOSTALIGA !!! First game I ever really beat when I was young I loved it. 1.Shao Kahn, He insults you and he's freaking powerful. A guy you learn to hate fast.
