The thing everyone misses is that this is not a topic that should be debated. It is being prohibited by the government and is simply a civil right which we are prohibiting. It is not a "Are we not all merciful" moment for the government. As Ron Paul said we should leave the government out of it and let them do what they please we should not have a government dictate this. Their job is to protect us not tell us what to do. I am surprised that more people have not came to that side of the argument.
Herein britain its called civil partnership. pretty much because gays cant get 'married' becaus eof the definition of the word (basically where a man and woman get together and stuff). I think thats why there's a small question of what to call it
Any God that says you can't be with the one you love because he says so isn't God and you shouldn't worry about their opinion. But I am a little bias on account of my mother being a lesbian
And PS: If the zealots think that they can dictate who can marry who they can step on nails and fall in a pit. People can live with what they feel comfortable with.
This shouldn't even be a thing. The government should just let people do what they want with their private lives. Dumbass Fascist Republicans are trying to turn America into Oceanea
Intresting point of view. Puts some new perspective into the otherwise quite circular debate, and i agree with everything you say. The fast that it isn't legal in a country that claims to be so liberal is an embaressment!
I agree with that they should be allowed to use the term gay marriage; however the republican community, which I'm apart of, has the majority of its older members believing that the term civil union should be used... I think it's just a matter of time that the older generation dies out and gay marriage will be allowed.
