    I'm thrilled.

Well the Roman naval tactics were based on marines and boardings, so yes.

Yeah, I feel that after Rome the series' games didn't have that much replay value.

Since Empire There have been standard bearers in The units so you think theyll incorporate the eagle?

Well since the Eagle Standard and Legion walk hand and hand together I think they're obliged to do that

How do you think the Auxiliaries would work? Or barbarian mercenaries.

Didn't they already have the eagle bearers in the first game?

maybe they could be cheaper versions of the legion you get in recently conquered provinces. Not as good legions but better than militia or townwatch

Well obviously the Romans. Then there are the Hellenestic Factions (Greece, Macedon, Selecuid Empire, and hopefully a Ptolemaic Egpyt). Then the "Barbarian" factions like the Britons, the Gauls, the Germans, Iberians, and hoefully the Celts. Then the eastern factions of Parthia, Armenia, and maybe the Sassinaids. Then there are factions of Dacia and Scythia. Lastly judging by the claims that they plan on making the map bigger maybe will see an Indian faction like the Maurya Empire. (Which would be AWESOME) so I think we'll see a nice bit of diversity, certainly more than then we did in Shogun II, Medieval II, Empire, or Napoleon.

That sounds well and dandy but I'm talking about units and fighting tactics.
