Well yes at first glance it seems that way, but I'm my opinion the two can relate. However it's hard to discuss seeing as there are many variations of Socialism. Generally there are ideologies in Socialism that can in turn be tied with Libertarianism. Now if I were to become the Politician I dream of , well firstly I wouldn't be leader of the state.
Well, do want social or economic liberation from the state? Because libertarianism is the near complete destruction of the power of the state. Unless libertarianism is different and much more reasonable in canada then it is in America of course.
Mostly Economic liberation, just a tab of social to see what happens. As for Libertarianism between the two states, well I believe there isn't much freedom left, just a illusion of freedom.
How can one be a socialist, but want the government to stay out of the economy? Socialism IS the government intervention (actually control) of the economy
Whoops may bad, I'm currently viewing a lot of threads. Let me clear everything up; With the State over control of the economy with reforms, good ears for critical reception, the people can benefit from a State Economy. I am sorry I am confusing at the moment.
