I heard Sweden, Maratha and Netherlands are good and easy to start with, but if you want to have a big empire right at the beginning, feel free to play as the main European colonial powers. If you want a challenge, play as either Prussia(lot's of enemies with little allies), Ottoman Empire(Big Empire, but few troops and not much money at beginning) or Russia(Too much land)

I was thinking Spain, France or Sweden, are all the factions unlocked after i finish the Road to independence?

They're all unlocked from the start I think. I'd say Britain's easiest to do, but I went for Prussia first. Sweden's good though.

I haven't play Empire in some time but I think so. Now out of the ones you listed I would go with France.

The Netherlands are fun. That was you are situated in all continents.

I have 2 campaigns going, 3 if you count The road to independence, Spain and Prussia.

Oh if only Liberia were available.
