WMV is strange with uploading to YouTube sometimes. Try a different compressed format, such as H.264 (.m2ts) or MPEG-4 (.mp4).
I agree with the mic thing. I won't watch an LP of someone with a crappy mic unless I have no other choice. I'd say don't use any headset mics....
