Alright so I made this post because I was playing the last part of Fallout New Vegases main plot story(I'm working for the Legion and assisting them at Hoover Dam its a pain in the ass that quest is.) During the battle of Hoover Dam, a thought came to my mind and the thought was this.... Why do the people who made this game have you be an insignificant character, like a courier.....HOW THE HELL DOES A COURIER GO FROM BEING A NORMAL COURIER TO BEING THE MAJOR DIFFERENCE OF THE BATTLE OF HOOVER DAM(depending on who you choose to work for.) like seriously wtf, at least in Fallout:1, 2, and 3 your character is AT LEAST a little significant. Kotor(Knights of The Old Republic): The whole entire game made sense because you started out as an Soldier,Scout, or Scoundrel which are pretty significant characters in the SW universe you became more significant (SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!) when it turns out you were the ex-Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Revan. Mass Effect:Once again the game and the ending make sense because you start out as an elite soldier. Mount @ Blade:You might ask yourself here 'What? how does a complete and total stranger make a significant character?' well in a land like Calradia a stranger/explorer would make an significant character.
Lol..Your chacrator in Fallout had a major difference in the New Vegas , and Mr. House would want you dearly for it. Meaning, the others want you to help destroy him. Then the game opens up and expands from there. Btw, Soldiers in SW ar ebasicly worthless.
The only problem I have with Fallout New Vegas is the massive amount of bugs me and my friends have encountered. We played it on different systems too.
I have two issues. One is that it's incredibly buggy. I encountered one bug after starting my second character that prevented me from leveling up, even after gaining enough experience to do so. Luckily, it was patched. My second issue is that I liked the Fallout 3 game world more. New Vegas is a better game, but I think I liked the Capitol Wasteland slightly more than the Mojave desert. One thing that bugs the crap out of me is how a huge portion of the map is totally inaccessible. And invisible walls. Seriously? In a fucking open world game, you put invisible walls. Extremely obvious ones at that.
I've got to admit I have had very few bugs while playing Infact I can't think of any and I've clocked almost 40 hours game play. The only issue I've had is that the game will crash occasionally, but I have this issue with all my games from steam (I think my lappy is on the way out *shrug* but I'm no tech expert). Actually one bug I have had, ironically, is that insects like Giant ants and Rad Scorpions seem to have trouble finding the ground. They'll often zip around half submerged in the ground, legs flailing wildly in the air. As far as game play and story line is concerned I don't think the "humble beginnings to 1337 dude" is an issue as it gives you a slight sense of accomplishment and allows you to relate, helps with the RPG element, that I don't think would be there if you started as a desert ranger or some thing. The radio annoys me though, it needs more variation, there aren't enough songs (and I hate Jonny Guitar :x ), and it needs to update along with your characters growth like it did in Fallout 3. EDIT: Oh and some of the speech is out of sync, or the characters just forget to say it all together.
I can´t even start it   When I start the game it turns of after the first cinematic... Someone else who has gotten the same problem? Btw i have tried to talk to those guys who made the game but i haven´t gotten any response yet... //Addehoje
I dont know whether to join the legion or the NCR for Hoover Damn. Do you actually do anything for the NCR or not. Or is the legion funner. Im just interested because i wanted to have a dfifferent experience from stalin by helping the NCR but I dont know if it will be as fun or as long.
@slydessertfox Just go different. At first i wanted to go with the legion too but as the game progressed and watched all of Stalin vids i decided to change my gameplay and went on the Yes Man way. Pretty fun, i got the Remnants armor from Arcane (don't know why they have attacked me at the dam) killed the Legion Commander, and then the NCR General ^^, pretty fun ... now Vegas is an independent city. Can't wait to see how it will look when Stalin finishis it .
I went with Yes Man the first time. I always want to go with Yes Man even with my Legion or NCR files because I feel like helping them is OOC for me.
I ended up joining the legion. the game went much quicker than I expected, mostly becxause i didnt discover any places, and the only companion i discovered was Boone. I do have one question though. Where and how do you find Martin, that legion sniper dude thgat you see in the intro with the gas mask, and where and how (if u can) do u find the guy that Johnson Nash talks about who was supposedly supposed to be the guty who was gonna deliver the plaatinum chip, before he saw that u were the next one on the list?
