Prejudice? Oh no that was racism from the "der spiegel" calling us parassites and such ,to germans fans singing Scheiß Italiener (italian piece of shit) and many germans boycotted the italian shops and restaurants in Germany ,they were way past prejudice. Maybe,we ll see , the only thing i know is that i like the italian team this year. I ll just have to wait and hope for the best.
Italians are a race, they're white. Italian itself is also an ethnicity. And it is most certainly possible to be prejudice against an ethnicity.
"race (countable and uncountable; plural races) A contest between people, animals, vehicles, etc. where the goal is to be the first to reach some objective. Several horses run in a horse race, and the first one to reach the finishing post wins; in an arms raceseveral countries each try to acquire more powerful weapons than any other. The race around the park was won by Johnny, who ran faster than the others. We had a race to see who could finish the book the quickest. A progressive movement toward a goal. A fast moving current of water. Travels, runs, or journeys. The bushings of a rolling element bearing which contacts the rolling elements." I really don't see you guys' problem.
Race is a classification system used to categorize humans into large and distinct populations or groups by heritable phenotypic characteristics, geographic ancestry, physical appearance, ethnicity, and social status. Italians are a race ,and the germans in 2006 world cup was not the first or the worst type of discrimination .
Does anyone else think it's ridiculous how goalkeepers dive in the wrong direction half of the time when trying to stop a penalty? I know why they do it, but it just doesn't work. If the ball is well-placed, you're not going to reach it anyway, not to mention if you dive blindly, your dive will not be adjusted to the shot 99 percent of the time.
Every nations on earth has some sort of that discrimination against them. Look, even Britain, widely loved and revered as it is, gets some racism (or predjuduce or whatever).
Great Game yesterday, both teams deserved to be in the Semi's. Too bad it wasn't England, i think England Germany would have been a better game. But well, thats life/football. Also i want Spain to get knocked out ASAP for their anti-football. They have no intent to score the first 60 minutes, just pass the ball around and do nothing, this is NOT football, nor is it exciting, i do agree it is pretty, but it is extremely boring after five minutes. So now i'm rooting for all teams wich aren't Spain. Germany should play as England did against Spain in their 1 - 0 victory, but Germany have more class upfront so they should rip them apart.
You can still dive for the ball after it's kicked, lol. That's how I used to stop penalties. Of course, you have to anticipate, but that's not the same as blindly diving into a corner.
Being a goalkeeper myself, you can get a rough estimate of were the ball will go 99% correct at my level of football (highest amateur junior league), but it's something you just know, it's hard to explain. It's almost like being an untrained-Jedi, you know whats gonna happen and you adapt to it, but you dont know why you know its gonna happen. Ofcourse at a higher level, the strikers get tips on the mind-games, and on how to fool a goalie, so it gets harder for a goalie. There is no 'Premier League Football' anymore, but yeah, all styles wich don't work in the Premier League are inferior (tikki-takki being one of them), because the Premier League is morte difficult to win than the Champions League it seems (number 6 in Premier League, wins the Champions League, much?) Something else i'd like to add: That Goal from Ukraine against England was offside, so yeah it was over the line, but the whistle should have gone earlier due to offside, and furthermore England would have proceeded with a 2-1 loss... So we dont care
By that time, you're much too late. These players ram the ball in the back of the net (at least, if it's a decent penalty, not that disgraceful piece of garbage from Schweinsteiger that lost them the Champions League). And I don't really mind how Spain plays, it obviously works for them, so by all means let them continue. However, I'm disgusted by how the media reacts to it. Seriously, the commentator made it sound like the French were being wiped off the field and the Spaniards did everything right, even though it isn't hard to see their entire system falls into pieces when it meets pressure. Did anyone else notice how terrible the referee was in that game, by the way? Must've been the worst performance this tournament, and that's saying quite a lot.
