I don't think I've ever defined capitalism and socialism. Again, what are you talking about? I am legitimately dumbfounded.

He's kind of right. Russia is buy and large running a state capitalist society. Most capitalists you talk to would not agree with Russia's economic model.

And thus, Call of Duty 4 becomes reality.

That would be Call of Duty Finest Hour, Call of Duty 2, and Call of Duty 3.

An Intervention in Russia wouldn't be successful. Just think about how many weapons and armor are laying around in Russia. Then think about US and their allies sending soldiers or "advisors" (as we called them in Vietnam) into Russia. I am not a Russian, but I assume they wouldn't be so happy. I mean, I wouldn't be happy if a bunch of Russian soldiers came into my country, even if they were there "to help". I would, in fact, fight back. I am supposing that this is what the normal Russian would do, fight back. I can imagine some factory workers who dug up a T-34 in some abandoned warehouse, and got it running. I can imagine them then linking up with some Russian farmers who put a 50 cal on their tractor. I can now imagine the tractor an T-34 attacking a US marines platoon. The US marines would probably take heavy casualties and might not even succeed in successfully destroying the Russian guerillas. Now imagine this happening on a national level. Do you have any idea how high allied casualties would be? If the US people protest our casualty levels in Iraq/Afghanistan, then what makes you think they would support a war where we take many times more casualties then in Iraq/Afghanistan? An intervention would be doomed to failure.

So we should just take the chance of organizations getting hold of nuclear weapons?

When did sending troops into Russia become a serious consideration of anyone?

A few pages back Stormfront thought that if the communist part did not win the election, they would revert back to a revolutionary movement and russia would disolve into civil war. Now people are arguing whether or not sending troops into russia to secure nukes would be good idea if this happened.

There is absolutely no hope whatsoever of securing Russia's nuclear arsenal in that event, deployment of troops or no.

Exactly, I am in total agreement. There are random nukes sitting in warehouses, not to mention a bunch of nuclear material all over the place. Hell, theres that place where the Russians keep all their former nuclear subs (Murmansk I think) and I'm sure that would be very easy to take over. A deployment of troops would be wasteful unsuccessful.

Please tell me I don't have to remind everyone i'm not serious. Or am I?

Yes, thats why I recalled it was Murmansk. There are Soviet Subs all over, thats just one of the largest concentrations.
They never retire any of their military hardware. So, yes, there are warehouses around Russia full of old WW2 Soviet tanks.

Putin's going to win again, despite the opposition and the protesters. Regardless of what you think of Pootie-Poot, he's a master manipulator, and will probably win through a combination of his personality, presenting himself as the candidate for political order and economic development, and some ballot box stuffing here and there. Besides, Putin is itching to show off Sochi for the Winter Olympics in 2014.

A good question to ask would be what will Medvedev do now?

Run for Prime Minister. Or maybe he could be a 'special advisor' (ie- lackey) for Putin?
