True, but they did end up taking some of the French troops back to the UK and those French troops would end up becoming the start of the Free French Forces in World War II.

Fun fact: Italy was eager to enter the war, but was not on Germany's at first. Musolini wanted to lead his country to war and on the winning side. Foreign minister negotiated with French: "Win a few decisive victories and we will join the war on your side." This did not happen so Italy joined the Axis. Those silly fools.

Well at least they picked the winning side in the First World War, but that is pretty funny.

OK, it was so hard to take photos.
A cop who had nothing better to do kicked us all out of "government property", basically some warehouses.
Couldn't take much photos another place for security reasons.
I'm no NatGeo photographer, but here is the USS Iowa and Lane Victory in San Pedro, California.
Edit: Photos aren't really uploading, so if you're interested just view the attachments and press "Show Original Location".

Hey @Vassilli1942 could you post a picture of a French military uniform of 1914. Because I have hard time imagining French wearing blue coat and red pants like its said they did in the book The guns of august?
