I have no idea where this thread is going right now.

Referring to another thread, where he and @Bart were arguing about the fun of the fourth of July. In this thread he directly stereotyped and attacked most Europeans and European culture.

I'm not stereotyping America. I'm stating what is a pretty sure thing, based on my experience, most Americans work specifically for material gain, as do most Europeans as well, yet ignore the plight of the citizens of third world countries. Then they wonder why the rest of the world despises the west so much. Its very obvious, to those who actually stop to think about it.

Europe vs. the US will change into helping the third world vs. leaving them alone which will turn into socialism vs. capitalism. Be prepared

I would say the west gives enough money to developing countries. However, the most important thing is where that aid is directed and how it will help the people. I think by far the best thing we can do is to make sure everyone is able to support themselves, through farming or whatever, and then GTFO.. haha

I don't agree with any idealistic 'improving' of countries, as you already know

Considering the amount of money and donations that are made and the sheer number of charity organizations that exist, I call bullshit, there are plenty in the US who care. Not only that, but anytime the US even exerts influence outside her borders, everyone shouts about evil imperialist America, let alone anytime we intervene in one of these little wartorn nations. First off it is not our obligation to help any of these thrid world countries devolop(even though we frequently end up doing just that). When the europeans were the world's superpowers, they did not try to help underprivlaged countries, so why should they or anyone expect us to?

Although, in this case, his steroetype is true, as most people in the western world do work for material gain.

Like, say, an American. supposedly, it is one of many stereotypes about Americans.

Maybe you can't read either, but being of the opinion that the Chinese deserve better living conditions doesn't mean I'm of the opinion that we should charge over there and give them it . I really don't know where you people get off assuming everything. I don't like what's happening, I can say that out loud. That has nothing to do wit h what we can or should do about it. Maybe I should elaborate on my beliefs , before you and melan can come up with some more autistic assumptions about my beliefs. I believe we should openly talk and debate about civil rights issues world wide. I think we should never ignore information that pertains to this world as it effects us all, and I believe that me talking about things shouldn't be misconstrued into retarded American fantasies of world wide aide spreading military action. I am of the opinion that the worldwide community should condemn the chinese governments exploitation of it's people in China, not invading China in some self righteous crusade.
