For something to be considered art it has to establish an emotional connection with the audience. As it stand the stronger the infliction the "better" the art is.

Sinaasappelsap is just orange juice, idiot! And it's Dutch, not German, so it isn't spelled with a capital 's'! Now punish yourself with a hammer!

It is about the art of hitting yourself with a hammer, dûh. Also, you

I think realism is the best stream in art, but who am I? After the Renaissance, it only got down-hill.

Art is created by geniuses such as Caravaggio and Rembrandt. Encasing a dead sheep in formaldehyde is not art and exists simply to detract from the truth that most modern 'artists' can't draw or paint for shit.

Look at this picture by Rothko. Artistic work is interesting not for what it represents but for what it evokes. How it struggles against the flat of the canvas and in doing so gives off a powerful emotion. Rothko's work is slow and churning. Depth turning over to flatness. Simultaneous calm with a nervous vibrating energy. It is both familiar and alien. A Rothko in person is a truly moving experience. Whist a picture or reproduction will fail to do it justice, I would recommend a trip to a museum to get the full effect.

I've frequented many galleries in an otherwise unproductive life, and there is nothing that has evoked my awe more than this Dali that hangs in the Kelvinhall Art Gallery.

    Especially when compared with this:

Also depends on another perspective of art, is it only on paper or can it be more to sculptures?

I honestly don't feel diddly squat from this piece. I honestly prefer impressionism.

But more on topic, I feel that art has to do strictly with emotion conveyed to someone other then the artist. If the intended reaction cannot be felt by those who look upon it, (In the case of visual art) then the piece is not a work of art.

I like Emi in terms of ability to not give up and to keep going, but here sluteyness just throws me off a little. Her arc started out good but went downhill but in the end it was still enjoyable IMO

Damn I could listen to the game for hours though.
