Not to mention, we have records of the Japenese army. They knew EXACTLY where we were going to land. Hell, even a twat with a laser-pointer and a terrain map could see where we were going to land. There's only a handful good landing spots in Western Japan by today's standards. Now try doing that with fucking U-Boats.

We were going to hit the coast and they were going to decimate America. They had spent the greater part of two decades creating biological weapons to gas the American landing forces. The Medical Division of the American army had of a million body bags prepared for just the initial landing. We planned for landing divisions to simply be wiped out by the time they hit the shore. We were going to throw men into a meat grinder.

Furthermore, America would show no mercy if it came to that. We were to drop a fungus on the rice crop and eliminate the main source of food on the Japanese isles. Japanese women and children, as the little food that remained would most definitely go to the army, would starve in the streets. The Civilians that remained would never surrender and America would've had to practically commit genocide to get them to back down.

After trekking through a beach covered in blood, watching your friends melt before you under the hail of bullets and shells, would you be inclined to show mercy? No. American soldiers would've slaughtered the whole lot of the Imperial Army. Down to the last fucking Cabin Boy.

The Japanese hard prepared a network of suicide ships, planes, submarines, trucks, and even persons. When American ships came to the coast, they were going to crash "fly, manned torpedoes" into them. A small force of Kamikazes could take out an entire ship, imagine thousands of them.

The Nuke killed a bunch of civilians, whatever. At least Japan didn't get turned into a giant graveyard. So Boo-fucking-Hoo, a few Japanese, who probably supported the Empire, died. This was much better.

Kara and Sly have the right idea.

Ever heard that say "one death for the sake of thousands"? This is a thousand for the sake of millions.

Well alot of the people who worked on and dropped the atomic bomb on Japan later said it wasn't right and they would have surrendered eventually, some even argue it was really the soviets declaring war on Japan that forced there surrender.

It was like UK & American involvement in Europe: Japan would fall eventually, but they just sped up the process. USSR took Manchuria & Korea. USA secured pacific ocean and few islands.

It would have cost alot of lifes in the end tough, and we could have a Tokyo wall. But yeah Japan was doomed with or without the bomb, and mind you its a good thing they did surrender cause we plan to nuke theme like nine times a month and use the nuke on the beachheads when we landed cause you know screw radiation.

It might make it hard to walk around and eat. But on the bright side, he could breath fire without bad things happening in his throat....

however, the geographical cost is too heavy, the bomb sank an entire nation under nuclear hell and even today, if you visited Japan, it would be like trying to breathe on mt. everest if it weren't cold, there were no snow, and no wind.

you're as much of a bastard for saying "peh, who fuckin' cares" at a nuclear bomb as the Emperor of Japan and the Imperial navy for their wanting to take over islands in the pacific, regardless of possible future plans.

just proves the level of insanity and hatred that can spew out of your mouths, how you have been educated to think this way.

the decision to push on with declaring war on Japan is the cause of all these deaths, instead of pushing towards defense of the Allies in the pacific they threw them at people who were forced on defense.

Commissioned by the Tsar to have an armoured force of his own it failed big time during test runs in front of the Russian High commission.
    Was later scrapped for metal.

So wait a minute. They bomb Pearl Harbour and we are supposed to just sit there and wait for the Japanese onslaught. AND then after holding it back, just let Japan go on??? DO you have any fucking idea what Japan did to China??? Did you even read the link to the rape of Nanking????? Not to mention how the Japanese treated their own people. Invading mainland Japan would have cost both sides tens of millions of lives from each side.

Don't forget Unit 731, or the other massacres carried out by the Japanese. Also don't forget of all the countries in the war no other country used as much chemical warfare as Japan.
