EA doesn't deal with Steam because Valve is a complete dick to anyone who wants to actively update or continue to offer content for a game after its release. EA used to be on Steam before The Sims 3 came out, but then Valve told them to accept a bunch of ridiculous conditions in order to release DLC and EA was like, "Fuck that, I'mma make my own digital distribution service." Valve is an all-consuming cartoonishly evil corporation that, because of the popularity of the shitty Half-Life series, managed to get like 90% market share for digital distribution. I like Steam, but by no means is Steam a good service or Valve a good company. EDIT: And when I say good, I mean good in the more moral sense, not in the efficiency or user friendliness sense.
I think MW3 will outsell BF3 on consoles cause thats what the majority of the fan base for MW is at (lot's of 12 year olds). where as MW2 and definatly black ops sucked balls on the PC, so on the PC i think BF3 will sell more.
ok this is just fuckin' ripping me to shreds, YOUR AVATAR IS ON SOME SRS ACID I'm sorry, it's off topic, but I can't stand it, it just looks like that thing is on some srs acid and I need to fucking anounce it.
OH MY GOD! I actually agree with you! Toast wrote: To be fair, I used to play Call of Duty multiplayer all of the time, for CoD4 and WaW. It wasn't until Modern Warfare 2 was released did Call of Duty become horrible. After the fanbase became militant and competitive, it resulted in the multiplayer being composed mainly of adolescent boys with names like "xxxXXxx QuEeKsCOPZ". I couldn't stand playing with these fucks. I remember back when WaW was released, the only people you would hear over the mic were hairy frustrated Americans and hilarious English 23 year olds on the warpath. That being said, playing Nazi Zombies with teams composed of these people yelling their fucking faces off was highly entertaining, and then when MW2 was released the entire Call of Duty fanbase became angsty annoying crackers. This is why I respect Battlefield more than Call of Duty. I can't agree more
Call of Duty is by no means a bad series of gamers, not then and not now. There are things about it that are worse about it now but I have to say this; CoD is one of the major top selling game series today that have not changed too much in a bad way with it's sequals unlike series like Fable, Medal of Honor or whatever. Why is Call of Duty so popular? Because it's so easy to play and enjoy. You get it, you put in the disc or whatever and you immediatly start playing with your friends. The game has simple gameplay and is easy to learn but not because it's bad or dumbed down, just because that's the way Call of Duty is, simple. The CoD campaigns are actually really immersive and action filled, from the original CoD to Black Ops. They focus heavily on well written stories while still having action packed and varying gameplay. Yeah it's quite darn scripted but that's the way it's been for ever. The multiplayer is also fun and it's very easy to play with your friends and enjoy. The only problem I have with it is that Call of Duty 4 introduced some basic customization and perks as accessoaries to the game while in Mordern Warfare 2 they started basing the core gameplay around it and overdid it. They toned it down slightly in Black Ops and apparently they're going back more to CoD4 style with MW3 which will be great. If I had to choose between Black Ops or MW2 to play with friends I'd definitely choose MW2. That's my opinion on the Call of Duty series, and I know everybody won't like the game but I hope anyone who doesn't and who reads this while atleast think about why they don't like the game.
So does this mean that you think all COD haters are dicks? *In sleazy news anchor voice* You heard it here first kids! Tere thinks all COD haters are dicks! This will go down in the history books as the poorest argument since asking the person on the other end side of a debate to stop being mean and just agree with your all your points!
Funny BattleField MiniMap comparison.... Look at how epicly perfect bf2 was... [spoiler:84dn2vwa][/spoiler:84dn2vwa]
Point. Missing it. Ah whatever I'll leave you to think about it for a while. [spoiler:2zrtlnc3]It's ok not to like things, just don't be a dick about it. It's so easy to understand. Really, it's that simple.[/spoiler:2zrtlnc3] As for hating. Well recently I noticed that BF fans are not better then CoD fans, because they act like little kids constantly disliking CoD videos and leaving a comment like this "ZOMG BF3 IS A LOT BETTER GAME AND COD SUCKZZZZZ". Sure CoD fans started doing that of BF videos, but do you really want to drop to the lvl of CoD fans? That has happened already. CoD is great. BF is great. Both are awesome games, both are different games, both have the same setting, both SP campaigns are short and heavily scripted.
Tere spouts enough stupid shit that you don't have to edit his quotes to make it look funny. See sig. Call of Duty is shit.
