When did I say I punched him in the face. Also so we are clear he was not insulting me, he was talking shit about someone else, shit I do not even know who he was. No, anger issues though. i am pretty much 80% sure that there were not laughing at me.

While the asshole did spit on you, the fact that he got up laughing shows he was just trying to make you like a spaz, and he suceeded. You should not have flipped out if he was just talking shit about someone you don't know, you just look like a fool. You should not worry about shit talkers, 9 times out of 10 they are all talk and eventually they will talk shit about the wrong people and end up getting their ass kicked. For instance about a month ago at my school, this huge douchebag ended up trash talking these 2 guys behind their back, saying how he could kick both of their asses at the same time and eventually these 2 guys heard about it. They confont the kid and this idiot starts believing his own bullshit and agrees to fight both of them at the same time after school. Needless to say, the 2 guys let him throw the first punch and then kicked his ass. He ended up in the hospital with a shattered cheekbone and a concussion.
Violence is natural and human instinct.The main thing is to only really fight when provoked.Some people enjoy fighting like Irish Travellers its in their culture to fight
Something like fighting is hardly in any European culture. In fact, I'm pretty sure these kind of things have much more to do with your personality than with your culture, and it's wrong to say that it is generally Irish travelers that fight.
Its not wrong at all.I know many Irish travellers and eery single 1 of them have been brought up to fight.In thr Traveller world if you refused to fight you would be outcasted.I knew a young fellow who was 11 he got beaten up went home his mother wouldnt let him in the house until he fought the boy who beat him up.
But that doesn't have to do with the Irish culture. That's as much prejudice as saying "all Irish are drunk".
It's okay he's irish making fun of his own stereotype. Violence is a part of human nature and we can't change it, but we can control it sometimes. In lighthouse's example it is kinda acceptable becouse the guy provoked him into a fight,but it could have been solved if lighthouse wouldn't be an aggressive little panda. If you have to defend your dignity,life,money and other belongings I think violence is justified.
