   Well Canada has a pretty large rural population, and the rural population are apparently way to inconvenienced to register their gun. Most of the backlash comes from the western provinces and northern Ontario.

   I don't think it's Northern Ontario as they all the Northern ridings but one are NDP. The support in Ontario comes form South Central Ontario.
