    I just had an idea!

You could give us the proposal titles and then whether the tribune put yay, nay, or abstantane. Then we could not only give feedback like, I support Ler's decision, but if there is a disagreemnt of the public then the tribune has the ability to explain why he voted so and to vote more in favor of what he believes the public wants, should he feel the need to.

Don't let anyone say I'm against everything, I am for the Tribunes letting the users know what they are pushing for. Though I am not for it being a requirement, for it being the choice of the Tribunes.

I don't see why we shouldn't guarenteed the ability to see what our own representatives are voting for.

Whether or not they elaborate as to why should be optional.

I was Banned from another forum for Disagreeing with a Moderator She was a girl and i had 1000 posts so i was pretty well known it was a small forum Btw. I like the things the way they are. I can disagree with a Mod and Not be banned. Leave things the way they are. the more power to the people the more Mods needed to regulate them.

We don't really run things off of parliamentary procedure though. It's not like someone submits a motion, we debate it, and vote on it, and the majority wins. I would say on almost every new rule we bring it to a consensus before it's implemented. We're currently sitting on a few things (modifying the signature allowances is one of the big ones) because we aren't really coming to an agreement on it. Suffice it to say that just about everyone would "vote yes" on anything before we pass it, so it wouldn't make sense to disclose the nonexistent voting records.

I do think the Tribunes should be more active in here and showing you guys what they're doing, but I don't know the form that this should take.

maybe the tribunes could have a thread in the People's Assembly where they post whats going on in the senate and regular forum goers can post any problems they have there. new rules could be suggested and theyll be out in the open for all to see. on a more personal note im pretty disappointed that neither Ler nor Raygun have really told anyone anything about what theyve done :/

I know what's going on (it helps when your related to a mod) and I'm perfectly fine with it.

What really bothers me is the whole "This issue is being discussed/ has been resolved, thread locked." bullshit. It's like we aren't even allowed to discuss issues in The People's Assembly without the mods blessing.

It's going off-topic by not talking about the topic.

    LOL

    Lets be more consistent k?

Also you're only focusing on the "Issue resolved" scenario, what about the "Issue is being discussed" scenario? Are we not allowed to take part in this discussion?

As long as you guys keep to discussing whatever the thread is about we will have no problems but if you start going off-topic we have problems.

    Bullshit.

Not once did they talk about anything that wasn't thread locking or the policy behind it.

I locked it because the conversation had turned to the policy, and that deserved it's own thread.

    If you say so.
