    And in all of this the most important thing is that Che broke the rules and the punishment for doing so is quite clearly laid out. You can't defend making him exempt from rules.

    @Pedro
    Perhaps they would look up the site and all, but find the forums, go through the effort of making an account, looking through them, and then fidning that one user they dislike is pretty slim. A huge advertisement company probably wouldn't either.

    Of course, there's no way to say Che did not break our current system of rules, but I could just as well say that our current system of rules is broken.

    Even if that's the case we don't retroactively apply the rules.

    First of all, colleges look up everything about you. They go through EVERYTHING. Employers do the same. They go through anything and everything they can find about you on the internet.

    And if you read my "massive" post you would know that I already mentioned that Che was calling people retards before they even knew who he was. Refer to the first pages of the Libya Superthread for reference. And if you dont like to read big posts, then dont even debate because it is usually the big posts that are the most important

    No they don't. I mean they might view you Facebook or something but they're not going to claw through all your internet history. They have better things to do.

    I don't think that's how it went down, actually.
    Big posts aren't usually the most important. They might have the most content, but there's no reason to drag something on for an essay when you can cover the points in a few bullet lines.

    No it matters they will go through everything especially if it's for a higher up position.

    Actually they do. They skim through everything and it isnt that hard to create an account on an easy to find website. And also, go look at the libya superthread for yourself. We never even knew who Che was when he started posting on it. I remember it like it was yesterday

    For the record, working for the administration at a large university, we really do... If you're going for a scholarship, or anything more then just cruising through college it's going to adversely affect you...

    True. A guy applying to get a job at the place my mom works wasn't even considered once they saw what he posted on the web.

    Beyond Stalin, all of us are associated with this forum. Everything we post here will be taken as truthful statements, and we will be associated with everyone on this forum. I don't know about you guys, but I don't want to be associated with a homicidal maniac whose has dreams of mass genocide. To be fair, Che should be able to give his two cents (to a point) without repercussions outside of site rules. But unfortunately life is not fair, and we do have to think about the the image this forum wants to show. It could be: 1) a place of discussion of political, historical, philosophical, and sometimes silly topics, or, 2) a place where someone threatens to have you and your family shot. Look, I take this seriously. I am basically coming through unfiltered, and I think most of you are as well. Che kinda ruined that. Instead of a meaningful (though sometimes off-topic) discussion, we got into insults and death threats. This forum represents a diverse set of views, and the only way this can work is if we have respect for one another. I'm not saying that we can't disagree, or that insults won't be flung from time to time. But, at the end of the day, we'll say "Oh, something besides the Libya Superthread" and move on. Che would not let that happen. So, in consequence he was banned. And he sure as hell deserved it.

    Re-posted here by request.

    Che needed to be banned and I gave the final approval to ban him. I was receiving messages daily about his rude and insulting comments and for the betterment of the community, and the integrity of the rules he needed to be banned. That is all. Can we please put Che to rest now, or do we need to have a funeral.

    It is over, our only attempt at victory was a propoganda victory at the polls. Sadly the polls are rigged.Just kidding

    I formally surrender.

    edit- Also +1 on the CheFlegel Funeral or final goodbyes on the coffee cast, I shall forever engrave his name in our history.
