Don't be sorry. You have no control over the hatred that stirs in Che's or any antisemitic heart.

That's what I am saying. It is one thing to hate the Jews for Israel, but this was just hatred of Jews as a race and a people. It wasn't politically motivated.

Well there's no way at all he could get away without a ban. The ideal would be to say the ban was right but to long and thus shorten it. Whcih is reasonable, really. Since this is about justice I don't think it would be very just for him to get off scot-free.

We don't base staff decisions on whether or not they were helping organize games. And to say this isn't ban worthy for such a reason or to defend it for that is ridiculous at best.

But the ideal of rules is to do justice to the community and by all accounts the community would be benefited more with a MineCraft server than with Che's hate out of the forums for a month.

Call it half and make the ban 2 weeks and then all's well that ends well.

Che shouldn't be banned for something that's offensive. People get offended and try to legislate it, but you don't have the right to censor something because it makes you feel uncomfortable. You being offended means nothing. I'm sure Che is offended for being banned. Do you think your offense is more relevant than his? If the existence of jews upsets Che, he has the right to vocalize that.

He broke several rules several times in a short time period and he has been causing trouble for a while. 1 month is deserved. Kara, rule breaking can not be ignored because of games, if we do the forums go to hell.

I haven't had this much fun since "THE IRON TROLL" in the thread about sexuality when we actually used the chat on this site.

You mean the anti-Mod movement? No, that counts for nothing.

Basiclly you'd have to say all his rule breaking was on two threads. And that's really more of a failure of the modship. You let someone commit hate speech for weeks and weeks and you couldn't delete the posts or lock the threads?

Anyway back on topic, 1 month is to long. 2 weeks is reasonable.

You saw one anti-Israel, not even anti-Jew, image and your willing to say he's guilty of hate speech?

Your letting your personal opinion of Che advance into the field of what will make the community better.

No, I don't mean the anti-mod movement, Kara.

The holding of an opinion does not make you deserve a punishment. I can understand that what Che posted angers you, but that doesn't give you the right to stop him from posting it.

I would have made it a pernment ban because this is the 3rd or 2nd time being banned for the same thing.

You are calling it a failure on my part? Wow, just wow. We acted. He earned this ban whether we removed the posts or not and Stalin finally gave his go ahead.

That's definitely bigoted, but I suppose it can at least be interpreted as a political statement related to Israel and Palestine. I think his current sig is a bit worse and clearly racist:

"Jews are here, Jews are there, Jews are almost everywhere, filling up the darkest places, evil looks upon their faces... Make them take many paces for being one of the worst races, on their way to a gas chamber, where they will sleep in their manger."
