Know what? If we keep this up were gonna go into war, and when that happens, we will both be weak after that, and than the guys from the east are gonna have a field day with our countries than. Lets stop, but that doesn't mean the alliance is back on.

OOC: It seems the map has expanded quite a bit while I was asleep...damn you, time zones!
I also propose a cutback on posts, there were like 30 pages of extra posts, of which 24 were filled with useless one-line double posts and garbage.

OOC: Anyway, here's my expansion (purple) for today, with plans for future expansion (red) and possible contested expansion (blue), with blue having the obvious priority.
    CityStateprovs1.png

IC: With the borders now touching, Tintener (OOC: Oh, almost forgot. I think there was a list of countries where I was listed as Rotterdam. However, that was just the conglomeration, I'm now the Tintener Republic, although it's really only for flavour anyway) diplomats and traders have crossed into Parisii territory, discussing trade and (international) diplomatic relations (@General Mosh).

The new military reforms have reached a breakthrough. The military has been split into three groups: Naval, defensive orientation and offensive orientation. Navally, large siege ships have been developed, using the cargo ships and arming them by putting projectile shooting weapons on the sides of the ships. Frisian longboats are still used for skirmishing on the water.

The new defensive technology mainly depends on the use of deployable spiked wooden walls that are used by archers and pike infantry to defend themselves against incoming archer fire and cavalry charges. With the need for large portable shields gone, defensive units have been given small bucklers to defend themselves in hand-to-hand combat. This means the earlier spear infantry can lengthen their spears to become two-handed pikes, increasing their defensive abilities. Both archers and pikemen are also armed with small swords for close combat.

Offensively, no real advancements have been reached due to the lack of necessity of offence. Military focus will now shift to there.

@darthdj31 Tyre will be glad to open trade relations with the Dacians, and a caravan will be sent to Dacia, with many Tyrian goods.

@Skyicewolf Tyre accepts this new defensive pact.

Dalmatia thinks it would be easier for Tyrian goods to be sent through Dalmatia, as per our agreement. It is rather a long way from Tyre to Dacia.

Oh, I thought Dacia was that green nation to the north of Tyre.

Dalmatia proposes a great European trade route, passing through all our nations. We have become concerned at the tolls and trade restrictions being placed on the Strait of Gibraltar, we believe it restricts free trade. If we all agree to build this road, it should be toll-free all the way along, bringing trade and prosperity to all nations along its route.
We would like you all to sign a pact agreeing not to introduce tolls on any part of the road.

    Do you agree?

No, it's the dark blue one north of Greece. You'd have trouble reaching it.

While we do little trading in the Mediterranean, if a solid plan is to be brought to the table, we will look into it.

And.....WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED!? It's been a day, there are about 12 people in this RP, realistically we should have taken up 3 pages, we took up 18, everyone, restrict your posting in this thread to purely movements and actions, and for the love of god, please combine ALL of your information in one post (EDIT THEM!)

Mosh, if you're there, I'll still be needing the moves from the last four turns done, I take the province to the south of the province I captured 5 days ago, and then the tree provinces north along the french border.

I will first wait for the agreement of all nations involved.

It will allow the free trading of goods across the continent, since Imperial has set a toll on the Strait of Gibraltar. It will allow you better access to African, Eastern and Greek goods, and allow Tintenian goods to reach across the known world.

    @Epiccheesegrater
We are trading with them, yes.
And this new road I have proposed will allow your goods to reach right across the known world, without having to pass through any tolls. Dalmatia asks you contribute some funds to its construction, since we hope it will greatly increase your profits.

These are the finalised proposals for the Great European Road.

    1. Trade will be free to move along the Road at all times. There shall be no tolls at any stage of the Road.

    2. Each nation along the Road will provide 500 men for the defence of the Road against bandits and barbarians. Fots shall be built all along the road, to be manned by these men.

    3. These troops shall be put under the command of a General of the Road, who shall be chosen from one of our nations and shall be independent of outside control.

4.Dalmatia shall take a large part in financing the Road, along with Tyrian help, but each nation shall provide some financial assistance.

    5. Each nation shall provide workers for the building of the Road, and then again for any maintenance the Road requires.

    7. The Road and its trade shall remain independent of all wars, no nation along the Road can stop the trade of any other nation.
