Sparta can have as many shiny spears as it wants, won't change the fact I can send an army larger then there entire population at them. XD
So can someone tell me why Macedonia declared war on me again? Or Georgia Armenia for that matter? I really don't remember doing anything to wrong them. In fact I complimented the previous ruler of Macedonia and was very reasonable with the Georgians Armenians. If anything they should be fighting for me.
If I were you, I would bulk your country up. Not just make it a long noodle flowing throughout eastern europe XD
Well I wasn't expecting an inactive nation to conjure up a quarter of a million soldiers and then get two other nations that I've never had any problems with to attack me. Or an army to march across an uncharted, barbaric wasteland and receive no attrition. But oh well. Edit: For the record, I was going to consolidate after the war.
They couldn't conjure up a quarter of a million troops.. They'd have to have 50 provinces for that, and that would be 20 more then just about anyone at this point XD And @Imperial1917 come on, why would Armenia and Macedon care about Moscow?
You guys I just want to point out that the Basque nation could theoretically raise an army of 200,000 people. Aragon could raise 185,000 soldiers and Wales could raise 170,000 soldiers. The Netherlands could raise 220,000 people. Man. These armies are fucking huge. We'd make Julius Caesar piss himself.
Hungary issues an Emergency conscription of 150'000 of it's citizens, and announces that they will be placed under a joint command with it's allies in Sythia. Every last man, woman, and baby will be used to stop the advance of the enemies of justice.
Scythia thanks Hungary for this gift of soldiers and unites them with the Scythian army to form a force of 390,000 soldiers. We march southwards towards Macedonia.
They declared war on me. You're bound by nothing. And come on, why should Spartans die for Macedonian aggression on the spears of Scythian men? After Macedonia falls it will be split between Athens, Sparta, and the COG so that it retains Greek rule. Macedonians aren't really Greeks anyway.
You see if Athens decide to honor the pact then we Spartans have our reputation to consider... I mean if those book readers and philosophers are willing to honor the pact. Then SPARTANS have to join.
@Skyicewolf @Karakoran I cannot answer for Armenia, as I am not playing Armenia. However, if you need to know, you need not look any further than the map. Look at your empire, Kara. You started out near what, Kiev? And you purposely spread north-east to hit Moscow. You are still spreading that way, only now to enwrap Moscow. Its pretty clear that you would not make a good neighbor. It was either sit on their hands and wait for you to attack or take the initative and attack while you are spread out like butter on too much bread. It was a tactical manuver. As an individual city-state, Macedon is better off with Moscow standing between you and them than waiting until Moscow dies and fighting you at their own doorstep. In the current status, they can back up Moscow, who hates you, and reap the benefits. Not only does it solidify relations with other nations, particularly Moscow itself, it also makes it so that they can create a trade system between them as well as a mutual defense pact. Clear?
