The city will indeed be politically divided, between certain areas, though the city will literally be one entity instead of three towns nearby eachother. The central government district and the harbour will be neutral, however. The city guard will be divided between our states. We should invest in the finest arms in the known world with which to arm the guards. @Skyicewolf , what do you think of this idea? We will contribute ten warships to patrolling the seas in couples, to dissuade any pirates from attacking.
Markus ship was anchored in the outer harbor and Markus was soon surrounded by people starring at him as he made way to the Carthage leader.
Hmmm. We shall send Tyrian slave drivers and guards to overlook the slaves whilst they work in Sparta. Our unique method should also help give them incentive to work harder.
The extent of destruction that is suggested by Rome is as absurd as the suggestion that no damage could have been caused. I highly doubt, no matter how large your harbor gate is, that you have the ability to search every ship before allowing them to dock. That being said, I think that at least 25 of the ships would get through, if not all of them, which would be able at least to do a 1:1 ratio of damage. I would not put the damage above 45 ships, but no lower than 20. I think that 30 is a nice number, but 25 may do. It is debatable, but town watch and merchant crews against soldiers usually doesn't work out so well for the former. Was the harbor unguarded? No, but I doubt that you had enough soldiers patroling the harbor to suppress a 1,000 man incursion with absolutely no damage.
Carthage was a republic lol. Trade vessel we are talking about the inner harbor was closed 99% of the time. 30 does sound fair.
It is only recently Dalmatia was freed from the tyranny of the Illyrian kings. We do not believe in slavery. We like these ideas. Dalmatia would also be willing to bring to the city the Spartan and Carthaginian soldiers which have been training our army, to provide training for all the men stationed in this new city. Dalmatia also suggests each of our three nations should put a substantial investment in this new city. We hope it will be the grandest, most civilised and strongest city in the world.
25 ship were destroyed and 20 more were damaged but can be repaired. 657 of the 1000 were taken prisoner 443 were killed.
We have sent the goods you requested to you, finery from the East. The trade ships are guarded by Tyrian warships.
Tyre will also bring Immortals from our Persian allies to contribute to the training of the city guards, once the basic colony has been established. Tyre will also divert any payment for Tyrian goods to a new treasury, which will invest into this city.
As Tyre is a medium of supplying eastern goods, we will send a shipment to Carthage as soon as the next caravan from Babylon arrives.
