Whenever China or any other Asian country comes up, you call racism when something negative is said about it. Don't let your nationalism cloud your judgement. And this is the science thread. Talk about Mammoths. Not politics.
I don't recall that. I merely accused people of knowingly and purposely bending the facts to make China look bad or completely ignoring the advancements that China has made. You can't come to me in good faith and tell me that you don't see it. I merely try to serve as a humble dissenting voice amist the mountains of often hypocritical critisizms launched at China every time its name comes up. Its not like there aren't plenty of people badmouthing them on the forums. On the contrary, its glorious. And of course, its not true. Not the last one anyways. Science isn't really controlable. True, underdeveloped countries would be hard pressed to create new technology and stuff, but even pouring billions to trillions into scientific groups is not a sure bet. Economics just works that way. Things go up; things go down. Really, the US has gotten a little clingy to the king-of-the-economic-hill title. That is one of fallacies of Capitalism. But comrades! Back to Glorious Cloning! Which I actually have something to say on! One of my associates told me that one of his friends had once attended a scientific meeting at which they defrosted a frozen piece of mammoth and ate it. According to my associate, his friend said that it tasted like raw meat, even after it was cooked.
I have a number of responses to this: "Hey guys, I got this rare piece of frozen Mammoth meat that probably cost millions of dollars to uncover properly, examine, transport, and otherwise. What should we do with it?" "Let's eat it!" ---------------- Tax dollars hard at work! ---------------- We can't feed the poor, but soon we will feed the rich Mammoth! ---------------- Of course it tasted raw, it's been frozen for God knows how long. Besides, did they know how long to cook it for? Have they done this in the past? I'd like a Mammoth burger, personally.
Sad news man. Only some of the Red Meat is preserved and it's dried to shit because all the moisture is leaked out when the Mammoth is frozen. However, I will not give up on my Mammoth burger dream so easily. I will, one day, eat Mammoth Steak!
