    both actually, they were part of the Special Forces in the 70's (They called themselves Jedi) and believed in things like running through walls, psychic warfare, remote viewing, etc. The best thing that they did was one of their soldiers killed a goat with his mind.

    It's entirely true, the movie is based on a book by Jon Ronson who interviews some of the officers of this program. The man who killed the goat was named Guy Savelli.

    I think I have found the coolest soldier in history and indeed of all time and that is Nils Olav.

    Who is Nils Olav I hear you cry well let me tell you he's a fuckin penguin. Thats right! I think I've just trumped you in this top trumps game of cool soldiers!

    Not just any Penguin a king penguin who has been knighted and retired with the title Colonel-in-Chief Nils Olav, of the King's Guard of Norway.

    They are same thing at the time of New Vegas.The Desert Rangers signed the "Ranger Unification Treaty" with the NCR to be absorbed into the NCR Rangers in exchange for NCR's protection of the Hoover Dam and Nevada from the Caesar's Legion. Although the NCR took their design from the Rangers and stated make their own for their Veteran Rangers.
