I hardly doubt a Duke would marry matrilineary to a daughter of another duke.... Counts wont even marry the daughter of a king matrilineary.

I played the demo for a second time yesterday and enjoyed it much more the second time around. I played as the Duchess of Toscana who starts without an heir. I liked the look of some Duke's territory to the west. So I killed his wife. Why should she get in the way of our marriage? Anyway, we got married in a normal marriage and had a child, so the child was of his dynasty and became the heir. I still didn't have an heir so I thought that the Duke and fulfilled his purpose, plotted his assassination, inviting someone from his court to join the plot, and killed him. So at this point I have my daughter as the Duchess, I've killed my husband and his previous wife. But my dynasty still has no heir. So I marry someone shitty Earl or something in a matrilineal marriage and get my heir, William I. I was gobbling up small territories around me and things were going well. I probably would've been the most powerful Duke/Duchess in the HRE. But alas, the demo won't let you save. I'll play a few more games before I decide whether to get it.
Well I played as the Count of Zeeland (an island off the dutch coast) and I managed to win the Kaiser's favour and he granted me the Duchy of Pomerania. So I thought my luck couldn't get any better until the Pope called for a Crusade on Jerusalem in the year 1099. Since I had no wars going on I managed to send the entirety of my armies into the holy land. Luckily every major power forgot about their differences and attacked. We were carving our way through Egypt when suddenly I became King of Jerusalem under the HRE. Now I don't know what to do because being a small duke I have a handful of vassals and have about 40 holds too many.
Use all the money you have to buy more nobles for the court in the intrigue tab, then hand out holds like candy? I formed Rus in 15ish years from novgorod .
