So I was playing as the Duchy of Axum, and from the get go my last playthrough didn't go to well because I got steam rolled by the Shia caliphates 7k man army, so I knew it was coming so at the very begining I swear fealty to them, and invade the kingdom of nubia I take hayya while my new liege takes the other two provinces after that was done, he began his new quest to take over the rest of africa and the middle east, with me helping him for a bit after taking over a few small kingdoms the emirate of alexandria decides to declare indepedence putting us in a huge civil war that lasted for a while but due to my support the revolution failed and was put down, once that was done though I realized that the caliphate was slowly converting all my vassal's and even my Heir ! to the shiite faith, and then my liege asked me to convert to the faith as well, seeing that sticking with my old believes was pointless at this time I converted and began a inquistion in my lands to change everyone's faith as well, as I was doing this though a jihad was called upon tripoli and wanting to prove my worth to my new faith I sent my army there successfully taking the city and proving my worth, I also realized I became the emirate of Axum once I converted, now I plan to move my self up in the kingdom waiting for the right moment to strike.
umm have any of you become the Pope before? I was playing as the lone count under the Pope's rule joined a couple holy wars and gained territory in Sicily. I saw that I could depose liege in the declare war option on the current Pope. I declared war and won then all of a sudden I became the Pope and kept getting flooded with people wanting to repent. The best part was I married a Sunni consort and fathered 6 kids. btw the Pope was 64 and the consort was 26 she fell is love with me and was lustful....... fucking up history yay
Never became pope honestly but I have tried to rule as a Heretic king before, In a irish game I was playing I converted to Waldensinan or however ya spell it and tried to make it the religion of ireland, but shortly after I converted my King died and my chaplain who converted me was arrested by My heirs vassals due to it lol.
