Yes. Calling someone a "dick" over a simple dispute is over the top in my books.

While introducing Stalin to a game and helping him make podcasts is a plus, that still doesn't make you eligible to become a moderator. If you're active on the forum, mature, abide by the forum rules, that's what I'm looking for. Not because you swayed Stalin into making more videos. Not that it's bad, I just don't see it as that tied in with the forum.

I don't denounce you for simply being a woman, I just do it because, in my eyes, Stalin's just making his friends moderators. That's the problem I have with it. I was also probably annoyed by his joy when he actually got female members and he started to gloat about it on his Stalker videos, if I remember correctly.

Once again, I was not even friends with Stalin when he made me a mod, I had spoken to him through PMs one time. He made me a mod because I was one of the most active members of the community and he was watching for new mods based on activity and post content. I have never broken a forum rule, and I consider 2.99% of all posts to be fairly active still. Also what in the world is wrong with being happy about gaining the sites first female members?

I got the idea that Stalin had befriended you after I'd heard him talk about you in several of his videos, so I still maintain that was the only reason he appointed you as a moderator. I'd thought he'd only appointed his friends after a handful of mods whom I wouldn't regard as being up to snuff but still blatantly Stalin's friends. Being happy about gaining the site's first female member is okay, not once did I dismiss it, I draw the line when it comes to whiteknights and determined fans, which was my argument in the first place before this escalated into personal insults being thrown around.

Me & Noelsong were around when the website was launched. Stalin chose the most active members as mods and coincidentally there was a female member among them. Obviously I don't do really any moderating because that's not what I'm really here for.

Anyway can we stop it with this stupid sexism because it's starting to get on my nerves.

It's not like you didn't start this with a pretty insulting post. I became friends with Stalin after I became a mod and started talking to him.

Really now? Which one? Toast's original (sexist) point was that we were only made mods because we're women. Then he switched it to friends with Stalin because he knew he messed up there. As for the guys, it's not my fault what they do. Lucy doesn't encourage it yet she still gets it. I personally see no harm with joking back and making light of it, it would happen anyways.

Well, let's be honest here, while you guys may have been appointed as mods because you were very active on the forums, you can hardly deny it's pure coincidence the two females on a mainly gaming based forum are being promoted as moderators. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you don't deserve to be mods or are mods because you're female or any of that crap, it's just that I can understand Toast's point.

I know that pedro and I had no contact with Stalin outside of the Coffeehouse when we were promoted to mods.

If there were only 2 males it may very well have been the same situation. Especially if one is one of the most active members and 1 of them is trusted by Stalin after talking a lot. I don't see what this being a gaming based forum has to do with anything, there are a lot of female gamers. Though it's things like this thread that may explain a lack of active ones. We do have more females here than just me and Lucy.
@ Kali, no-one questions that, because you're not one of the female mods who only got our positions by either being female or friends with Stalin, or both.

Well, seeing as the usual reaction from a gamer to a female (yes, overall the situation here isn't as bad) is: "Zomg girlz wiz boobz wanna be freinds lolz", it's not that irrelevant.

Apart from you and Lucy, I've seen one or two other females here, and in their respective introduction topics, everyone said they'd be a mod within the week. And you're right, if the situation was reversed (as in a select few guys on a forum with just females), it'd probably be the same.

Again, I'm not judging you, and personally I don't see why some people are as unhappy with you guys, it's just that in an argument I try and look from both sides.
