Why the hell would it not be counted?

As well, GDP calculation for China is way more corrupt than the BLS.

Because that happened...... Im really getting tired of you re spouting what your beloved America, CIA and NATO say. Your thirteen and you have not built any credible strength to weigh into any political discussion without saying how great NATO/America is and any country that does anything different than then is evil.

Here's some credence: The cultural revolution and the agricultural practices of Mao killed millions of Chinese. His Reds v Experts framework paved the way for the government to eliminate any political opposition, and they routinely imprisoned and executed their political rivals. It even got so bad that teachers were getting turned in by their students, and being summarily executed for giving them bad grades. It purged an entire generations worth of intelligentsia because it placed value not on intellect or contributions to the country, but to adherence to Maoist doctrine. The policy was so bad that Mao himself rescinded it.

You can argue that it was for your idea of a higher cause, or that they came out on top in the end, but the fact is Mao oversaw the death of millions upon millions of his countrymen.

    ........

Edit: Also, Mao never did any of these things. But I agree with these things. All barriers to progress need to be dealt with regardless if it costs a million lives.

Really, you've debunked 60 years of academic research, and countless horror stories from refugees seeking political asylum? Must be a pretty significant finding to dramatically alter the way we perceive history. Perhaps you should present your findings to the Chinese government, because even they paid out reparations to those adversely affected...

The extereme loss of human life in Mao's regime wasn't bad, his findings revealed he managed to find the meaning of life and why we are here.

Also please no one say the starvations at the begining were Mao's fault... You will only make yourself look like an idiot... Mao's government was not even in charge of that untill far later. It was a member of the old Nationalist government and his Capitalist policy's in the agriculture sectore. Forget his name at this moment. But his grain policy caused many to die. Because do not forget... China was a split government in the first while of the Peoples Republic of China.... But you all might as well just blame Mao for it because he was the head of the opposite party that caused it..

Also I like how you Capitalists actually consider Credit to be a legiimate number to add to GDP. Hillarious.

Progress needs to be done in line with human development. This is the flaw of stalinism, sometimes socialism needs to wait for people to catch up. Authoritarian measures that are used to keep "socialism" alive will do nothing but turn your socialist state into a totalitarian nightmare and hurt the socialist image making us look like blood thirsty baby eating tyrants. Stalin and Mao probably are the biggest damages to the socialist image.

Mao's early economic policies were directly responsible for the famine. The great leap forward was directly responsible for tens of millions of deaths, and the economy remained stagnated during the period. His policies failed, and he regressed from them. The fact that there was a schism within the CPC, resulted from how ineffective Mao's policies were. This lead to the cultural revolution and more repression and death. The cultural revolution was another failure that even Mao publicly canceled, although he persisted with the political persecutions.

The fact that after Mao's death, China moved in the opposite direction and experienced great economic growth and prosperity is a further indication of how backwards Mao's policies were. Rhetorically, Philosophically and empirically, Mao failed. Admire the red book and anything he accomplished, but in terms of concrete policy initiatives Mao was a failure.

Also credit is a fundamental aspect of every nations modern economy. further, if there was no credit, there would be no debt, so I don't really know where you're going with this. Even possessing a bank account is really just a form of credit, so unless you're one of those guys who hides his cash in the walls (and watches it depreciate in value) then I don't really understand how you can rightfully criticize the credit system.

Well I can tell you obviously do not know how the government worked in the Early PR of C.... The government was split Maos party and the previous government. The previous government was in direct control of the agricultural sector and is directly responsible for the famine. If you dont know what the government consisted of at this time then do not argue that what you are saying is right please.
