    They very well could be, if domestic prosperity would increase I think they would have a better chance then China.

    Yeah, they have a lot more potential in my eyes. A functioning democracy will always outwork well, I don't really think there is a word for what China is now.

    If India can get their population under control, expand the middle class, and can improve living conditions, they will be a force to be reckoned with.

    Thats the thing. They have to severely lower the poverty in their country for that to happen

    Authoritarian capitalism is the new term someone coined for China and the Russian Federation. Still a lot of state control but private enterprise makes a huge impact; however the liberties and democratic government that we expect with self-promoted modern capitalism are absent.

    The Us is still a superpower
    however china and India are catching up and the EU (when it works together) is a force to be reckoned with

    Makes sense. Pretty sure no one will fall under that term in fifty years though.
