I remember joining back just before PEACE collapsed. Spent about a year in the eUS Military. Quit once the new "Improvements" came in. Haven't checked back for about a year or so. Have they changed the battle system at all? I miss my wall.

And why am i seeing weird things like parts of inner america owned by other countries, and other random expansions... someone help me out?
I'll give you some food later, when I get it. Economy I will also explain later, as I'm lazy. But military I can explain now. You see, eRepublik is an incredibly divided world. People combat eachother and throw tons and tons of wealth and time into gaining resources, which you can then use to fuel an economy. Some nations are larger than others. For instance, Poland is the largest nation in the game. Thus they have the best oppertunity to get resources. They invaded, along with their ally Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands. This was to secure a line of raw materials, the Netherlands was only for oil. I'll try to explain all the expansions. America and Canada with eachother: They are sharing resoruces. This way they both get all the resources they want. Win-win. America into Mexico: America wants Mexico's rubber region. So they basiclly conquered the nation. Argentina and Brazil in South America: They've divided up the continent, basiclly, to get all the resources THEIR countries want. They are in an alliance together. Slovakia into stuff: Just trying to make an Empire, really. It’s all about resources. Slovenia: Expanded into Austria, Italy, and Switzerland for resources. Macedonia: Conquered Italy for resources. Macedonia and Greece are linked, I’ll explain in Greece. Greece: They usually fight Turkey, but they stopped with neither side winning. They have colonies in Egypt and Saudi Arabia for the resources found there. Macedonia conquered the entrances into those countries in order to prevent Greece from accessing the resources. You must have a direct route from your capital to the resources in order to utilize them. Turkey: Turkey invaded Ukraine because the Ukraine was a Greek ally. They also want the resources. I doubt they’ll be able to hold onto it for long, but still. Cyprus: They are a Greek ally whom conquered Israel to help Greece. Ireland/UK/Canada: They’re all fighting over the British Isles. The Brits want to unite the Isles, under themselves, and Ireland is fighting for their independence. Canada is helping Ireland. Sweden: They had a peaceful merge with Denmark to create one complete country. They then have expansions into Germany in order to access the fruit resource there. They are currently renting two regions from Norway to take the oil. Iran: Iran just wants resources, they conquered parts of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emeritus to achieve that. India: They conquered half of Pakistan for the fruit and grain found there. China: They conquered half of Pakistan as well for geographic positions, the doorway from the Middle East to Asia is now owned by them. They also own North Korea, and split South Korea with Taiwan. They own two Japanese provinces, one of which, Kyushu, is the route between Asia and North America. They used to own Thailand and were invading Indonesia but they got pushed back. Indonesia: I don’t really know why they’re in the Philippians. I believe they control Thailand’s southern and central provinces in order to invade it later. They are currently invading Australia for resources. Brazil in Africa: They control it for the resources there and because South Africa is one of the routes between Australia/Indonesia and South America. The other being New Zealand to Chile. Serbia: They want resources. That’s all. Latvia/Estonia/Lithuania: Resources, they’re also trying to fend off the Russians.
Economics in eRepublik used to work about how the real world's economy works. Someone makes a good, sells it on the market, someone buys. And things fluctuated and such. Now, the only way to make these goods is to harvest raw materials. Varying raw materials produce varying amounts of material at varying health costs. For instance, Rubber makes the most "weopans raw material", and (I believe) Aluminum makes the least. In a factory, each of these raw materials, food and weopan, are made into a product between Q1 and Q5 quality. The higher the quality the more effective the product. Now days, most people do not have standard jobs. Because people can work multiple jobs by owning a factory or raw material field by themelves they choose to buy several grain fields to only working in one. This is called the, "Work as Manager" Feature. When they introduced the Work as Manager feature the average production level sky rocketed, yet demand for the new found production was little to none. The market was flooded with products that it couldn't absorb. So prices dropped tremendously and in order to compete jobs were forced to close most of their wages. Wages, and prices fell. But the Admins had a solution. They would buy up some of the excess goods and fix the problem, at least a bit. However, when they bought it they brought currency into the game from no where. The value of currenty collapsed, the US Dollar fell as low as 0.001(compared to one gold) at one point. However, the admins have managed to stabalize most currencies to about 0.004. The end result was that gold became incredibly valuable, and the average living standards went through the roof.
Because, this system makes people buy more Gold, meaning more profit for them. Also, if they removed the Work as Manager feature tons of people would start complaining, quit the game, stop buying gold, etc. as they would've spent lots of money to build a shitton of factories they now have no use for. 50% of the population can't own factories.
I used to play this a long time ago. I joined Great Britain during a war in which America got its ass kicked.
I think that was called the North American Invasion. The Alliance, PEACE, decided to destroy America. So they got all their allies, chiefly Russia, France, Colombia, Indonesia, Hungary, and I believe Serbia, and started invading. The invasion mostly came from the Pacific, first Alaska (Russia), then Hawaii (Indonesia). It continued until America was so crippled it was down to one region, Florida. But form there, a miricle happened. America got lucky, broke out and took most of the South. They would've still lost the war as Indonesia was beating them but then.... The President of Indonesia was Perma-Banned. Because only the President can issue attacks, and the President was banned, they could no longer attack. America kicked Indonesia off the continent and then broke back most everyone else. Thus proving that no matter how hard ANYONE tried, NO ONE could destroy America. Entirly, I mean the economic and political infustructure of America was wiped out. Ameria's Democracy was more of a Militeristic Dictatorship by the end of it and the economy just barely hung in there.
That was only cos they had like huge numbers of people people in Florida, like most of America and some other people , I know cos i was there! OORAH!!121¬!
The thing was it would've cost Indonesia like 2k gold just to attack Florida because of the massive population so they were really indecisive about it.
Ya, don't worry about Spain ravaging America, France being divided between Hungary and Poland, or Italy and Greece being destroyed by Macedonia... Think about little Ireland.
