Hey well i was playing EU3 and i used merc's for the first time ever i always usally found them a waste but i played an awsome game today. Basicly you chose some random contry that has a big empire but weak so i played and took out 5 loans and hire TONS or mercanarys and declared war on some people and just concured without disregard i would basicly not care about rebels or stability and i played as scotland and concured all of the british isle in like 2 years then got a foot hold in france from a small contriy moving my troops there then conquring alot of france just making peace then re declaring over and over again. My was exaustain was 32 and my infamy was 71 when my 5 years was up and the loans were due and i had almost all of the british isle and my land revolted the only provinces i realy owend were ones i finished besieging. Ya sure its fun to do this then see how fragmented the new nations are but i wish i could do this for maybe 50-100 years probably could conquer the world then if unlimited loans
the point of the strategy was to never stop attacking therefore i never stopped a sentence to symbolize the never ending attacking
Best strategy in U3 is to play as Norway and just hold out til the 1960 when we find huge amounts of oil outside our coasts ._.
I tried Norway once. The problem is the damn Kalmar Union, which basically makes you incapable of doing anything at all unless Denmark loses their King in an early war. Either way, as soon as the Union is gone Denmark wants nothing to do with you and Sweden just rolls over you.
Ya, it can only work if Sweden tries to break away and you and Denmark cripple it into almost nothing.
