Very true, However I just don't understand how this man purged so many of his people for charges like "counter-revolutianary"{dont know how to spell that} and people here thinks he is "super muthafucking badass". I felt sick reading that, this man embodied Stalin in some ways
when it came to purges. An many people will never be able to forget that...

I have to admit, Even as a huge Castro fan I hate his use of purges. Perhabs power has corrupted him shame as without the purges he would have been a great leader. However I think the bay of pigs played a big part of his psyche and now he assumes that anyone who tries anything counter-revolutionary is an american backed cuban and here to kill him, who knows. But as long as you keep your mouth shut in Cuba you should be fine.

Yo Vike do you really think that Fidel was bad-ass? We can't forget the fact that if you go to the doctor and
his incompetance kills you, well in communism you can't sue the Government.

Who wants to sue the government? the problem with the united states is far to many lawsuits, and actually the healthcare in Cuba is great the problem is getting doctors from out of state, but when you look at the way it has improvaed and who can get it (everyone) its great. Even the greatest Canadian prime minster of all time praised it.

My grandfather was in a car accident in cuba, {true story} and went to the hospital. So there a doctor checks on him
and says "youll be fine just get some pain killers". Although he disagreed cause of course it IS a car accident he had no choice and went home.
He died in his sleep from internal bleeding. Great job doc and when the familly wanted to sue naturally their lawyer said they coudn't cause
it was a State sponsored doctor and hospital. Needless to say gran-pa got screwed 6 ways on a sunday.

    castro is my favorite dictator.
    he socialized health care
and he started a campaign to whipe out illiteracy wich was wery successful
since cuba has the 2nd highest literacy rate in the world.

You can go to Cuba but you have promission from the government (if from the USA) or you could go up to Canada and they will take you down to Cuba.

It's going to becoming another American tourist island in a couple of years, once Fidel dies.

Raul Castro will probably invite American corporations onto the island and it'll rapidly turn into pre-revolution Cuba. Pre-revolution Cuba wasn't a very nice place to live.
