I know plenty of international students from Venezuela. None of them had anything good to say about Chavez.[/quote:7yawg5pa]
Maybe its there political bias, but the people that I know from my party(Socialist Alternative) that have been there say its great.

    Who said its a utopia?

Ive talked to other people whove been to Venezuela, of course for political reasons, who said otherwise.[/quote:5fuk5dc6]

I went there as a seafarer so I got to see the parts the authorities don't want the tourists to see.

It's worth going just for the experience, but Venezuela is pretty bad. My first thought was that it reminded me of Guatemala, but at least they have the excuse of having fought a recent civil war.

Nothing going to be utopia in Venezuela, but under Chavez it's improved.
