I don't no where to find one of those hats. Look for yourself! Are you trying to look like Gaddafi, when you go into one of the Freemasons ceremonies?

There's not much to it. It just happens to be on Gaddafi's head.

yes that is correct. There is also a myth that the Templars came to America after most of them were tortured and killed by the church.

The freemasons played a huge part in early American history. George Washington and Benjamin Franklin were freemasons and it is rumored that many other important American leaders of that era were also freemasons. It is thought that a lot of Washington's subordinates were Freemasons. Also, the symbols on the dollar were designed by freemasons such as Benjamin Franklin. It is believed that those symbols are Freemason symbols and have like some secret to them or tell something about America's "manifest destiny" or something like that.

Well that is primarily because of the importance of freemason lodges as places for discussion by the inteligentsia, or the creation of the bourgeois culture and civil society. Which then influenced the creation of modern democracy, these lodges simply fulfilled the same role as coffee houses or salons did during this time.

If there are people that actually believe in that theory today I wouldn't know how to face the world.

I have no idea why everyone still views the Freemasons as being significant (if they ever were). I, once again, resort to calling them big fancy Shriners.
That said, I would join both the Shriners and the Freemasons if given the chance.

Well other than the fact that most of the framers and founders were part of this group it is hard to show that the group influenced their decisions while shaping the newly emerged country.

THe majority of George Washington's other generals and subordinates were freemasons in the revolution. The majority of the leaders that emerged out of the revolution were freemasons

Me too. I can't think some Freemasonry secret society that formed in Scotland can relate to some Knight's Templar's that were guarding the travels to Jerusalem.

actually scotland did have a LOT of templars
