So, your saying we should wait until the child is eighteen to circumcise? That would make it incredibly painful and make it ten times as dangerous, and doing it anytime after one week of age has a much higher risk of malpractice by even the most skilled surgeon, simply do to the fact that nearly no one is trained to do it at that age. Even if we could train doctors to do it at that age, it won't change the fact that the penis is actually far more complex as it grows and as such is more difficult to cut on.

Plus, I severely doubt it is that big of a issue in other places in the world. If circumcising is the norm in that place, it is most likely that women will prefer it there. If it isn't it is most likely that the women will not prefer it. And I promise you most parents will go with the norm, and like I said if a women is that picky either way, I don't think she is one to lay with, and many are on record saying that it doesn't matter in the physical feeling.

Other religions such as Jehovah's witnesses and crustian scientist cannot cite their religious beliefs to stop their child from getting nessessary surgery. Why should judism get anexeption to this law ( forcing a child to get unnecessary surgery).

I hate how everyone talks about it like it's some life altering thing. Its really not that big of a deal, and as such, I don't really think we are forcing a child into anything, it will only alter the life in minor ways. Besides, if you really want to, you can not have the child circumcised and do it at eighteen. Sucks for them though. That didn't make any sense either. Jehovah's Witnesses stop people from getting the necessary treatment to survive all the time (blood transfusions), and I have no idea what a crustian scientist is. Sounds like a dish at Red Lobster.

My point still stands, there are plenty of cosmetic body alterations you could do on an infant that probably wouldn't affect them that much later in life. Of course, you would be called insane and probably have your kid taken away if you attempted any of them but cut their foreskin off and nobody cares.

Cutting the foreskin off is different though. It is possible that it has beneficial health effects and some say it doesn't. It's really just a matter if your willing to have your child's foreskin snipped for those possible benefits. I honestly don't know why a Christian would do it for any other reason than that, but I do know it's the norm in America.

Well, in the country i live in, they did ban a ''muslim'' head wear that covered a woman face and eyes so she could not be recognised at all. i don't if this the same thing but they did it because since you couldn't even see her eyes, it was a security issue. And at the time only 160 woman wore these things so no a lot of people were against the law
