I believe in Gawd as a Psycological/Spiritual effect but not as a person.

Why do people believe in God(s)?

They have been corrupted by or are Jews.

Why not watch a bit and if you decide it isn't worth watching the rest, don't?

    Thanks for the video,

I've somehow managed to powerstride through this hour long presentation after 17 hours of me being conscious - means it was a intresting video.

A lot of what the presentation tells us is linked to my old investigations module on Temporal Lobe epilepsy on how the Frontal lobe is linked with religious experiences.

Though I was previously undecided on this theory until now; I can comfortably present this argument to my thiestic friends without having doubts of my own.

Darn you Athiesm for your reason and rationality...darn you.

    Thanks again for the video.

    You see, I don't.

I have no belief in a God, but my families' history is Roman Catholic, that is only with me for cultural purposes, anything other than that is bunk.

    This.

Believing in God is a personal choice so if you people would stop trying to justify or change our beliefs that would be great.

    Glad you liked it man.

Who said believing in the gods wasn't a personal choice? They would have to make a choice at some point because everyone is born an atheist.

Fuck off. It's a sign of respect, not something worth debating over.

But worth swearing over. Always disappointing when people resort to insults instead of witty ripostes. You could've written:
    for instance.

"the rabbis forbade explicitly writing the name of God, except in Holy Books, with provisions for the proper disposal of such books." What are the correct procedures for destroying a holy book so as to not upset the g-ods? Tossing them into an active volcano? Would thou share?

Everyone is born ignorant of the question, and thus are born agnostics (literally, without knowledge). No one is born into the world with the certainty that God either exists or doesn't exist.

I wonder, wouldn't it be more respectful to just avoid the word altogether specially if used jokingly or in some other context less than appropriate context (ex. g-d dammit).
