So, it is just because the Goths were different tribes that they were different nations, although they had once joined together and were all from the same general area?

I guess, but didn't they rule it as a puppet state of the Ostrigoths?[/quote:mvim5pzr]

There was some kind of Romanised barbarian government which ruled Italy from Ravenna on behalf of Justinian. Not 100% on the details.[/quote:mvim5pzr]
Thats what i thought. I'm pretty sure they were called the Ostrigoths.[/quote:mvim5pzr]

    correct and some visogoths too.[/quote:mvim5pzr]

Not officialy called the Ostrogoths, but The Kingdom of Odoacer.

Eh, not really. the Eastern Romans tried to reconquer The old roman lands, but only managed north Africa, italy 9belongs to Ostrogoth's), and southern Iberia. and 3 years later lost it all, cause there homosexuals who think that the world owes them something.

You gotta feel bad for the Romans though. Must have sucked to fall apart and then see Europe dissolve into what was pretty much pure savagery.

You fail at editing quotes, plus if you don't have any arguments to throw in here, just shup up and don't say anything.
And it isn't that Alexander tried to exterminate an entire race, just for his to occupy their space.

Yes, Alexander wanted his people to occupy the conquered people's space, but that doesn't make him comparable to Hitler. That would be like saying America's "manifest destiny" idea is comparable to Hitler's "master race" idea.

Are you seriously gonna try to compare Alexander The Great to Hitler. That is like comparing Caesar to George Washington.

I see now that you are in fact right and i apologize to you for that, however if you like to listen to theme i will be more then welcome to share theme with you.

i wouldn't call my self American. from being born outside the united states (in Poznan Poland and lived in Germany) but i lived here long enough that i have become used to american culture, so by that stance am i american? or am i Polish or am i German? or am i combination of the three. Does the place of your birth concluded to which you are or to which they place of which you live and how long does one have to live in a place for that in its self to be your nationality. or can one assign to himself to which he is?

Depends, do you have polish, german or american citizenship? That's mostly what defines what you are.

Your a first generation Polish immigrant to America. Your nationality isn't quite american but your children's will be, assuming you have children in the US.
