*shakes head* We're either too emotional or unemotional. We get hate no matter how we are. Anyways, back on topic.

I really think this was the place for Persia to stop and consolidate it's holdings, Greece certainly wasn't more worth than Egypt for example.

Correct The first invasion resulted in a crash of his fleet in norhern Greece and the Second was the Battle of Marathon.

Ernm, flip that around and you're kind of right. In the second invasion the Persians sacked Athens but were stopped in that tiny bit of land that separates the Peloponnese from the rest of Greece. They were then forced to withdrawal from Greece after loosing their fleet (At the battle of Salamis) and loosing most of their army (at Platea and Mycale)

I thought so. This bad history resulted in us learning more about how greek military tactics fared against foreign nations instead of other Greeks.

The Battle of Salamis, Plataea and Mycale were when Xerxes invaded Greece in 480 B.C. This was the third invasion due to the fact that Darius led 2 invasions both stopped relatively quicky. Xerxes fled after the battle of Salamis back to Persia and left control of the army in the hands of Mardonius
