I thought that was just a way to make the BoS to not seem like elitist assholes, I mean sure they where but it was that I liked about them. Now it seems like every BoS faction is going down the road of trying to be the good guys instead of what they set out to be.
Well they are following an outdated way of thinking. "Technology must be preserved, lets take it off the hands of normal people, study it and hide it a bunker and never bring it out". The world surrounding them is changing, either they change or get left behind.
