Im still a noob in vicky 2 so i want to ask something. Im playing as Serbia. I have Northern Serbia, Macedonia, and Croatia and Slavonia in my country, My budget is on th edge and every now and then drops, and trade is almost non existent so i cant build a good army or a ship(or two) to use gunboat diplomacy and get some of the loans back. So my problem is production. I cant build any factories and i dont know why or how, Do i need to research something (i dont think so)? and im civilised, and ive got the money, so why cant i build factories? I mean, after so much early expansion i need to industrilise a bit.
usually when i hover my mouse over the build factory button it would tell me what i need so you could maybe try that?
This is what it says for every region (*)Civilised (*)0/8 Factories in State Build factories: No (*)Non Colonial State What do i need to do?
Ok il try that, il change from conservative to reactionary, theyre state capitalists so that might help. P.S. in between my last post and this one i was in a war with the turks, they wanted macedonia back, but Russia attacked them and they gave up. Edit: ok it worked, i can build factories now and i have more support for military, only problem is that most people support conservatives but that dosent really matter. Now i have the problem of a lack of workers, although its slowly rising, any tips?,
You can use a National Focus to attact people to a certain region, but I don't know of any ways to increase the worker pop per say.
also any tips on what types of factories would be the best for a small civilised country, so far im building a steel one and a small arms one (steel for profit and to suply small arms, small arms for army)? Edit: does anyone else notice how easy it is to fall behind in research, or maybe serbia just has reallt slow research, because its 1846 an in military ive only got the first row. So, any tips on what to research?
Ya the whole tech thing is a disaster some times. The only way to do it is to invest in Education, but even then it doesn't help much. If you looking for a cheap shot, there's always the Consule. But you know, kinda takes the fun out of it.
well, things are going great, I now have bosnia slovenia and dalmatia too. The problem now i dangerously high militancy in some regions, So how can i work on reducing militancy?
1. Enact reforms. ( I would recommend Safety regulations) 2. Let them rise and destroy them 3. Tax them less and enact safety regulations, pensions or subsides
Depends what research does Serbia need the most or what their lacking behind on, Military, Commerce, Industry, Culture, naval. Personally, research more on your industry or Military. Researching more on industry provides you with more variety of factories, and give you more bonus efficiency on your output in the factories. Military, improve more on infantry, calvary, and cannons, also to research more on morale and supplies for your troops. That could defiantly help. I'm still learning through the whole course of industrialization. How to get profit out of the factories, get more workers in the factory, all that stuff. Trading is not easy for me too. I know the computer does that for you, but when you switch over manually, i don't find it easy, nor easy to understand the whole concept of trading on that game too.
ya most paradox games i start with england/GB because they allways have the easiest games + Usualy wealthy so you can mess around alot without too much consiquice
i also need some help. i am just about ready to modernize but GB declares war on me ( i am china) i have tried re loading with no success so what should i do?
you could use the consul, just wait for them to declear war on you, then click '~' and type 'tag ENG' than youl swap to GB and go to diplomacy and propose peace to china (i.e. yourself) then do the same but type 'tag CHI' and acept the peace offer (p.s. pause the game while you do this.)
