I'd say the second one is most probably some officers from the balkans, Iugoslavia maybe? I thought german officers wore a different type of cap.
Didn't Nazi officers wear different hats with the swastika on them? not saying your wrong or anything, but those guys dont seem to be wearing German symbols
no one got the second one right yet, yes the fountain is teh Stalingrad one, pretty easy. Clues: one of you got it really close, the mountainous terrein (think mountainous terrein in Europe), hats, officers looking 'disapointed' edit: maddog, the whole point is to answer the questions, dont stop.
Are they officers from the alps? French officers maybe? being disappointed about the rapid German push into France? either French or Austrian. Final Answer
Well, the mountaineous region doesn't say anything, they could be in south italy, alps, sicily, greece, norway, pirenees, well you get my point, but the uniforms tell me they are from the balkans, they are most probably hungarian, yugoslavian/partisan or even chetniks(?). maddog help!!
I'm pretty sure, they're German officers because of their rank-straps. Every German Major and above had straps like that.
German officer straps look like this also the collars and hats are not german. Sorry if that sounds racist but from the looks of their faces they are from south east europe. Hungary or yugoslavia. But hungary uniforms looked different. also theres stars on the arms of the uniforms on one of uniforms. My guess would be regular soldiers of yugoslavia, probably serbs. But i am not sure. Also thats a serbian officer hat
very close, i may as well give it away now. They are captured Yugoslavian officers (i thougth the uniform would give it away, the hats in particular; and its obvious that they are officers due to their straps and coats with big buttons) about to be sent to Germany. The faces do give it away a bit that they are from the Balkans if someone was familiar with Balkan people, the mountains indicate Yugoslavian mountains (could be the slovenian alps), they are official Royal Yugoslavian officers, not chetniks or serbs. i guess sirdust was the closest, but i thought the Brazilian (yuri2045) was about to get it before ( thats why i said one of you is very close. so sirdust, teh floor is yours, im happy i maneged to get you guys a real challeng.
