I thought the real lost battalion was captured by the Japanese in World War 2.

That was another lost battalion. The lost battalion the movie talk about is a battalion that was cut off and surrounded by the Germans during the Meuse Argonne Offensive and held out for 2 or 3 weeks in till other American units showed up.

I personally really enjoyed it. I don't know too much about the Vietnam War, but the movie does describe the fucking madness very well.

They should do one on the Christmas truce in world war 1 for it will be a heart warming story where too sides come together to have fun and play futbal and celebrate the joy of Christmas.

Hamburger Hill, Platoon, Tigerland, Born on the 4th of July were all good Vietnam War films. We Were Soldiers was an ok movie. And yes, The Deer Hunter was an awesome movie as well.

Events in History they need to do movies on, and please don't let Michael Bay direct any of them, do them like Gettysburg, Tora! Tora! Tora! The More Historically accurate version of The Alamo. My list would be, The English Civil War, The Spanish Civil War, The Formation of Germany, a movie about Persia before Alexander the Great; about like Darius and Xerxes (not 300, good movie, not historically accurate) Austria-Hungary Empire, The events that led up to World War 1 and World 1 itself, including the Russian Revolution, and the US entering the War. A movie about what the Japanese did under their rule in the pacific, The Trail of Tears, I have a butt load I could go on and on.

Hell Hollywood is already running out of original ideas, and are now relying on video games, and books, hell even music to make movies, besides some of the not so old movies they've already remade, might as well make more movies about History. But they probably wouldn't sell unless they were made by Michael Bay, or some shitty director that's going to wow you with a bunch of effects, and stuff. Someone that's going to add a bunch of stupid shit, and make it more likeable by everybody and I can't even go on or I'll get pissed, but yeah that's my list.

They need to make some movies about the eastern roman empire, and more about the roman empire. Also some movies about the punic wars, caesars invasion of gaul, and in general the rest of that era of history, there is so much they have not done. Also some more about the middle ages especially the crusades(I think the only good modern movie I have seen that covers that is kingdom of heaven), maybe the moorish invasion of france, the tuteonic order, again so much they have not done, I don't understand how hollywood can be runing out of ideas.

Hollywood really needs to focus more on the Roman times.
