They really do, there is so much material to cover, but instead the vast majority of what we are getting is shitty remakes, and movies being re-released in 3D.

If it isn't Jar-Jar getting his brains blown out in 3-D, I refuse to buy it.

The first three [which are episodes 4-6 since they started there] were good, but episode 1 was pretty terrible. When I was younger I just liked the fighting scenes, but as I got older I started appreciating the stories of most movies. Episode 1 was an exception to that. It was not done well, even though the story was good and held a vital part of the SW universe. Episode 2 was too slow and cumbersome. The action scenes were too short for commemorating the start of a war, though I did like seeing the clones.

Episode 3 had more combat scenes, but was unbalenced with the story and the acting was less than stellar, as with the Episodes 1 and 2.
But this was just beautiful. *tear comes to eye*

Reminds you that it is the soldiers who do all the real fighting. Jedi suck.

I never understood why Star Wars had all their episodes jumbled up.

Well it kind of makes sense.
The kind of tech needed to make the Clone Wars and Revenge of the Sith just wasn't availible. The last three episodes only had limited fighting that was still within reach.

As mentioned on the first page, a biopic about Lenin would probably rake in a shit ton of oscars, and might even be good to watch. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio naturally, since he's practically a spitting image of the guy. Sort of surprised it hasn't been done yet. Also Ho Chi Minh would be an interesting one. He led a pretty exciting life and he had a huge fascination with the American founding fathers that'd probably make Hollywood more receptive to a major film being made about him.

Now, other than those... Not sure. Something about Dunkirk would be good. Lots of opportunity for drama there. And I'd love it if HBO made a series a bit like The Tudors about Stalin and his "court" during the years he was in power.

edit: Oh, I just thought of something - a film about Yuri Gagarin would be pretty sweet. A lot of soviet related stuff in this list, but whatever man - It's a hugely untapped resource for film makers.

So, am I the only person who actually enjoyed all Star Wars movies, and doesn't have an intense hatred towards Jar-Jar?

Anyway, there are quite a few movies/documentaries about Rome, I've watched a lot of them during my Latin classes. My favourite is probably about Nero, such good acting in that one. But please, Hollywood, don't touch Rome. While 300 was quite the spectacle, historically it was pitiful.

I would like them to do a film about the book Pompeii by Robert Harris. It would give people a good insight on Roman politics, and about what was happening on the days before the fateful eruption.

It's not historical, but they should make another 1984 movie. The last 2 were good, but one is from the 50s and the other is from 1984 (I don't think that's coincidental). They're just old. Time for another.

Correction:Why in the **** wouldn't you want to see that?

Also there should be a film about Franz Joseph of Austria. He had a life full of interesting stuff to make a film about like his part in 1848 revolutions of austria and hungary, the assassination attempt in 1853,the Austro-Hungarian compromise in 1867,Franz Ferdiand's death and WW1.It would be nice to see how they changed from the aristocratic past in the mid 1800's to the modern 1900's.
